For children with autism spectrum disorder
and their same-age peers. Grades 3-7.
Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum and
Rehoboth School are partnering to host a
special topics camp in the Gallup, NM area, as part
of the Rehoboth School’s June Camp Program.
This pilot camp is for children with autism spectrum
disorder and their same-age peers, and provides a
safe, supportive, and fun environment to explore
science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Camp Activities
Make a rubber-band powered car. Develop
your mechanical engineering skills as you
build, test, and modify your car, and then try
some challenges. You’ll also build simple
rockets out of ordinary materials and test
launching methods, too.
Camp Details
This is a four-day camp, Monday–Thursday,
June 19-22, 8:30–11:30am. Option for lunch
and afternoon session until 2:30pm. Please
ask about this option upon registering.

to learn about the full three week June Camp. Fee for the Explora Four-day Camp Morning Session is $40.
Student may stay the whole day for an additional $10 for the week.
