1. Funds will go toward food, music, and payment of services (dancers, drummers,
equipment, etc) for a Native American Pow Wow.
2. Original cost was $4,500 but then lowered through fundraising efforts.

c. Move to allocate $1,500 to the Junior Class for Clash of the Classes

1. Event includes inflatable obstacle courses, games, and other events that allow
classes to compete against one another.
2. A trophy will have winner engraved and be passed down from year to year.
3. Concerns with the current date and it being the day after Shorefest will be an issue.

d. Move to make Kent County Schools Mentoring Program a special interest group.

1. Takes identified at-risk students from the Kent County High School and matches
them up with WAC students to meet with them during their school hours.
2. Hopes are to build a bond that allows them to aspire to attend college.

Fill out your preference form in Webadvisor, under residential life, and update your
emergency contact information.
ii.
Question: Does transferred credits count toward room selection?
1. Yes, whatever the registrar considers your class year is how you will be identified in
the housing selection (i.e. If you’re a first year but a junior by credit, you’ll be
eligible for upperclassmen housing).
iii.
Kent House will be a freshman science and technology house.
1. Concern: Kent being offline next year to fix the plumbing
a. Ursula: The plumbing will be fixed in time for Kent to open in August.
iv.
All of the Greek Life/Middle housing will be removed prior to room draw so as to not
confuse availability.
