Vol Leaders Points Rebounds Assists Trae Golden 17 pts, 5-11 FG Jeronne Maymon 11 Trae Golden 11 FINAL SCORE: TENNESSEE ULM To Note FOR STARTERS - The Vols started the same line-up for the second game in a row (Trae Golden, Kenny Hall, Cameron Tatum, Jeronne Maymon, Jordan McRae). - UT opened the game on a 9-0 run including a pair of 3-pointers to open the scoring from Jordan McRae and Trae Golden in the game’s first 56 seconds. - The Vols began the opener vs. UNC Greensboro by scoring the game’s first eight points. - The Vols are 2-0 for the seventh consecutive season. GO GO GOLDEN - The reining SEC Player of the Week Trae Golden scored in double-figurs for the second game in a row and second time in his career with 17. Golden tallied a career-high 29 in his breakout game vs. UNC Greensboro last Friday night. - For the second consecutive game, Golden led the Vols in scoring. GOLDEN DELIVERIES - After setting his career-high with nine assists in the season-opener vs. UNC Greensboro, Golden set it again with 11 vs. ULM. - Golden is the first Vol to have 11 assists in a game since Bobby Maze had 11 vs. Chattanooga (11/15/08). DOUBLE-DOUBLE TROUBLE - Trae Golden (17 points, 11 assists) and Jeronne Maymon (11 points, 11 rebounds) are the first pair of Vols to have double-doubles in the same game since Wayne Chism (11 pts, 10 reb) and Tyler Smith (14 pts, 11 rebs) vs. Austin Peay (11/13/09). BUZZING McBEE - Junior Skylar McBee scored in double-figures for the fourth time in his career with a personal-best 15 points. McBee also reached doublefigures with a previous career-high 12 vs. North Carolina A&T (12/23/09) and vs. Vanderbilt (1/15/11) and Florida (3/11/11) with 10 in each game. - McBee also set a career-high with a game-best five three-pointers, surpassed on his fourth trey with 17:40 remaining. - His five three-pointers are the most by a Vol since Scotty Hopson connected on six against UNC Asheville (11/17/09). CHAIRMEN OF THE BOARDS - After being outrebounded by UNC Greensboro, 34-31, in the season opener, the Vols came back with venegence against ULM. UT outrebounded the Warhawks, 46-27, including 25-16 in the first half. DECISIVE RUN - With the Vols trailing 48-46 with 13:45 remaining, Tennessee went on a 29-9 run spanning 8:42 to take a 75-57 lead with 4:44 left. JERONNE JUMPS HIGHER - Junior forward Jeronne Maymon set a career high with a game-leading 11 rebounds. - Maymon also chipped in 11 points. He’s averaging 13 points and 7.5 rebounds through two games. DOUBLE-FIGURE COMFORT - Tennessee had five players in double figures: Golden (17), McBee (15), Tatum (13), Maymon (11) and Josh Richardson (11). - Senior guard Cameron Tatum scored in double-figures for the 34th time in his career with 13 points on 4-of-10 shooting. BURNING THE NETS - After a tough first-half shooting (10-of-32), UT shot 20-of-35 (57.1%) in the second half. The Vols finished 30-of-67 (44.8%). - Conversely, after the Warhawks opened up 15-of-32 (46.9%) in the first half, the Vols limited ULM to 9-of-24 (37.5%) in the second stanza. RICHIE RICHARDSON - Freshman Josh Richardson scored in double-figures for the first time as a Vol with a career-high 11 points in just his second collegiate game.
