Leviton’s Key Lock Power Switches
Leviton’s key lock power switches provide secure ON/OFF control for 15
or 20 Amp, 120/277V AC circuits and are available in single-pole, doublepole, three-way and four-way versions. All Leviton key lock switches feature
a lock and key mechanism that actuates the switch from the ON-to-OFF
positions (key can be removed in either position). This design provides
tamper-resistant operation suitable for critical care areas such as hospitals
and health care facilities or where critical circuits need tamper-resistant
ON/OFF control such as schools, security systems, roll-up doors or
conveyor systems. In manufacturing plant applications, key lock switches
can be mounted into pedestal control stations, flush mounted on cabinet
doors or integrated into original equipment frames.

APPLICATION
TYPICAL SPECIFICATION
Key lock power switches shall be rated 20A 120/277V AC and conform to
UL and Fed Spec requirements and be in compliance with CSA, NOM and
NEMA standards. Switches to be horsepower rated up to 16 Amps.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Key Lock switch mechanism can only be turned ON or OFF using
keys supplied with the device (2 keys provided per device).
Key can be removed in either ON or OFF position.
• Nickel-plated key lock dome resists rust and provides an attractive
low-profile appearance.
• #8 Slotted brass terminal screws for back and side wire
termination.
• Key lock switch wallplate: Cat. No. 84071-40, type 302 stainless
steel, supplied with spanner-type security screws and screw
locking tool.
• Use with FD box or deep wallbox recommended. Minimum
internal depth 2 3/4" single cover/gang.
• Shallow wallbox extenders available (Brown - 6197, Ivory - 6197-I,
White - 6197-W) for when a deep box is not accessible.
• Redundant grounding systems: Automatic grounding clip and large
color-coded ground screw integrated into mounting strap. This
ensures ground integrity regardless of box or mounting means.

TESTING AND CODE COMPLIANCE
The key lock power switches listed herein meet or exceed UL20 and Fed Spec requirements for switches (UL file # E7458,
Fed Spec #WS896E), CSA certification (CSA file # 152105) and meet Mexican NOM #057 standards. They meet or exceed NEMA WD-1
and WD-6 and ANSI C-73 standards. These key lock power switches are suitable for use in accordance with federal, state, country,
municipal, and local codes.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary in different states and countries. LEVITON warrants to the
original consumer purchaser that this product is free of defects in materials and workmanship for 10 years from purchase date. Leviton will correct
such deficits by repair or replacement, at its option, if the product is returned prepaid, with proof of purchase date, to Leviton Manufacturing
Company, Inc., Attn.: Quality Assurance Department, 59-25 Little Neck Parkway, Little Neck NY 11362-2591. This warranty does not cover labor for
removal or reinstallation of the product and is void on any product installed improperly or in an improper environment, overloaded, misused, opened,
abused or altered in any manner. Leviton limits the duration of any implied warranty of merchantability to 10 years and excludes incidental or
consequential damages for breach of any warranty on this product. Some jurisdictions may not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty
lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you.
