An Act of Parliament to amend certain Acts, administered
by the Ministry of Natural Resources, in consequence of
the introduction of the metric system of measurements
ENACTED by the Parl.i8ment of Kenya, as follows:1. This Act may be cited as the Metric System (Natural
Resources) Act, 1970.

The provisions of the Explosives Act specified in the
nrst colurrm of the First Schedule to this Act are hereby
Short title.
Amendment of

amended in the manner specified :n relation thereto in the
second column of that Schedule.
3. The provisions of the Mining Act specified in the first
coiumn of the Second Schedule to this Act are hereby amended
in the manner specified in relation thereto in the second column
of that Schedule.
4. The provisions of the Oil Production Act specified in
the first column of the Third Schedule to this Act are hereby
amended in the manner specHied in relation thereto in the
second column of that Schedule.
5. The provisions of the Diamond Industry Protection
Act specified in the first column of the Fourth Schedule to this
Act are hereby amended in the manner specified in relation
t.hereto in the second colu.mn of that Schedule.
