Animal Chant By Dr. Holly Directions: Say each line of this “partner” poem. Encourage the children to listen and repeat it after you. Practice each verse several times. Add rhythm by clapping, snapping, or tapping to each syllable. Write each verse on a poster or use with your computer. Track each word as you read and then have the children “echo” it after you.
