Application of oily substances and
lotions "to the skin -will reduce the
likelihood of severe sunburn. Bad
cases of broiling can be treated Ins
similar way. using olive OIL cocoa
butter, tannic acid, calamine lotion,
or a wet dressing qf Epsom salts so­
lution.
Persons with burns should go on
a light diet, with plenty of fluids,
soeh as water, bread and milk, mils
toast, and fruit Juices. They should
avoid alcohol and heavy tneala. Tbe
