How To Release and Delete E-mail SPAM From M+

How To Release and Delete E‐mail SPAM From M+ Guardian ITS recently installed a new version of M+ Guardian (previously called GWGuardian) anti‐
spam/anti‐virus system. This document provides instructions on how to release legitimate e‐
mail messages and to delete all spam e‐mail messages: 1. Go to http://gwguardian.clpccd.cc.ca.us/ to access the M+Guardian Quarantine site. You can also access this site by clicking on Click here to manage your quarantine in the GroupWise e‐mail message you receive from the M+ Guardian administrator. 2. Log in using your e‐mail address (for example, [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected]). Enter your GroupWise password. 3. Once you log in successfully, you should see the screen below: The first window you see shows menu items containing Summary, Spam, Viruses, Files, and Content. 4. To release or delete your spam messages, click on Spam from the menu: You will see a list of spam messages. Carefully review all the messages. If you see a legitimate e‐mail, highlight it and click on Release. The e‐mail will be released into your GroupWise inbox.
If the message is from someone you know, select Allow so that any future messages from them
will not be blocked.
5. Once you have released all legitimate e‐mails, select Delete All to delete all spam e‐
mails. Click on OK to delete. 6. If you have a blocked attachment, click on Report to send a message to ITS so we can release the message. 7. Click on Log Out to log out. 8. Notes: ‐
The Administrator Quarantine Report you receive from GroupWise e‐mail only reflects spam or blocked attachments received within the last day. ‐
You can release/allow/delete spam individual messages directly from the Quarantine Report.
