1. PERFORMANCE
THE MICHELIN GROUP HAS ANNOUNCED A PRICE INCREASE OF ITS TIRES
BY END OF APRIL 2017
02/03/2017
Because of the increase in raw material
costs, Michelin has announced that it is
raising the price of its tires in the European
and North American replacement market.
This increase, which may be up to 8%,
depending on the tires, for the Passenger Car
& Light Truck, Truck, Earthmover, Agricultural
and Two-Wheel segments, will take effect by
end-April 2017. Depending on the changes
in raw material costs, the Group may further
adjust the price positioning of its products.
LAUNCH OF THE SHARE BUYBACK PROGRAM FOR €100 MILLION
02/17/2017
In 2017, Michelin is continuing its share buyback.
An investment service provider will sell a certain
amount of shares to the COMPAGNIE GÉNÉRALE
DES ÉTABLISSEMENTS MICHELIN from 20th February
to 24th November 2017 up to a threshold figure of
€100 million for the year. The shares bought will be
cancelled.

REPUTATION INSTITUTE: MICHELIN CONTINUES TO CLIMB THE RANKS
03/16/2017
The Global RepTrack annual survey carried out
by the Reputation Institute asks over 60,000
people all over the world to score companies
on 4 criteria: confidence, respect, admiration
and familiarity. Good news for our Group...as
it continues to climb the ranks. In 2017, we are
13th in the world (15th last year) and the leading
automotive OEM. In France, we are number 1
and the only company to score over 80 out of 100.
MICHELIN TOPS THE IMAGE RANKINGS
March 2017
For the past two years, the Posternak – IFOP Barometer
has published an image ranking of French companies.
In March 2017, Michelin was once again in the top
position after adding three points to its score over the
previous quarter.
Of those surveyed, around 89% confirmed a positive
image of the company versus just 8% who had a
negative view.

MICHELIN PILOT SPORT4S: A PREMIUM TIRE IN EVERY SENSE
01/19/2017
Designed from our competition experience
and partnerships with manufacturers,
the MICHELIN Pilot Sport range is now a
benchmark for sports sedans. Today it is
joined by a new model, the MICHELIN Pilot
Sport4S, which is ahead of all its rivals in track
trials. This is a premium tire right down to its
look and is available in 35 different sizes.
MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE+: BETTER PERFORMANCE EVERY SEASON,
FOR LONGER
02/27/2017
Like its predecessor, the new MICHELIN CrossClimate+ tire
provides the qualities of a summer tire plus greater traction
on snow-covered ground thanks to innovative rubber,
a unique tread and high performance siping. But is
its performance consistent from the first to the last
kilometer? The answer is yes!

2. INNOVATION
THE MICHELIN XDR3 CIVIL ENGINEERING TIRE TAKES ON A NEW DIMENSION
January 2017
Thanks to a lifetime and a loading
capacity of at least 10% greater than its
predecessor, the MICHELIN XDR3 tire helps
mine operators to reduce their operating
costs. It is now available in a new size, a
3.8m diameter for rigid dumper trucks.
The new MICHELIN XDR3 53/80 R63 E4 is
available in four types of rubber, to adapt to
the specific characteristics of each mine.
BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE MICHELIN GUIDE
02/02/2017
The famous MICHELIN guide just keeps on traveling!
Four new destinations have been published since last
year: Washington DC, Seoul, Singapore and Shanghai.
Our inspectors selected the best top quality addresses
according to their unchanging criteria: food, only food,
nothing but food!

FACTOLAB: A UNIQUE LABORATORY FOR RETHINKING REDESIGNING
MAN-MACHINE COOPERATION
02/10/2016
Three University research laboratories in
Clermont-Ferrand and the Michelin Group
unite their knowledge thanks to FactoLab, a
shared R&D laboratory. Its objective? A mid and
long-term research and development program on
man-machine cooperation. Particularly in the field
of cobotics (non-independent robots interacting
with humans) and new digital technologies.
MICHELIN X® FORCETMZL: THE NEW GENUINELY TOUGH ALL-TERRAIN TIRE
02/14/2017
Designed for light civilian and military vehicles (fire trucks,
tactical vehicles, etc.), the new MICHELIN X® FORCETM ZL
335/80R20 tire is the toughest of its kind. More damageresistant, it can roll flat over 100km and can support up
to 3,350kg of load per tire, which means 775kg more
than its predecessor at identical performance levels!

2. INNOVATION
MICHELIN SUPPORTING THE FARMERS
02/27/2017
The MICHELIN EvoBib tire was awarded the
gold medal for innovation at SIMA 2017. It
is a 2-in-1 tire which can adapt to different
requirements and has already been recognized
as a genuine revolution in farming tires. At low
pressure in fields, its footprint is broader and
extends for maximum traction whilst reducing
soil compaction. At a higher pressure on the
roads, it saves fuel, increases safety with flexible,
vibration-free driving.
4 NEW MICHELIN MOUNTAIN BIKE TIRE RANGES
03/13/2017
In terms of mountain bike tires, our philosophy of “one
use, one terrain, one tire” has led us to design 4 new
ranges, two dedicated to cross-country and two to all
mountain. Developed with competition riders, these
two ranges use cutting-edge technology and make
sure that everyone can find the best performing
and most suitable tire for how they ride their
mountain bike.

(SIAM) is highlighting ecology and innovation.
An opportunity to showcase our many
initiatives in this field: energy efficiency of our

NO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT SUSTAINABLE PURCHASING
03/13/2017
Our efforts in sustainable development are even more
effective when they also come from our suppliers.
Thanks to a real sustainable purchasing policy,
our Michelin Performance and Responsibility
