It’s time… volunteer for AGS Field Day! Friday, May 20th.
From the Nurse: Requirements for 5th graders going into 6th grade:
> Physical exam form that is dated on or after August 17, 2015 by first day of school
with required immunizations.
> Dental exam form or waiver dated later than November 15, 2015 due in May 15, 2017.
Physical and immunizations are due no later than the first day of school. Appointment cards are no
longer accepted. If your child has a medical exemption for immunization(s), the doctor needs to provide a
medical note indicating the exemption. If your child has not received immunizations due to a Religious
Exemption, the new Religious Exemption form must be completed, signed by your child's health provider
and submitted by the 1st day of school to meet the immunization compliance requirement.


Batavia School District has a first day exclusion policy for physicals and immunizations.

National Bike/Walk to School Day: Wednesday, May 4
Students and families are encouraged to walk or ride their bike to school as part of National Bike/Walk to School
Day on Wednesday, May 4. A “Third Grade Bike Education” program will also be offered at each of the BPS101
Elementary Schools during the school day the week of May 2-6. Read more >.


Thank you to all families who went to Potbelly – we finished our last Dine Around with a BANG! We
made $417.25!!! Woo hoo! We appreciate the generosity this establishment shows by including ALL sales
during a 4 hour period, it allows the groups they support to take in a nice big donation.


As part of its 100th Anniversary Flag Day Celebration on June 14, 2016, the City of Batavia is hosting a “What
the American Flag Means to Me” essay contest for pre-K students through senior adults. Contest deadline:
