Hats Off - You don't need to be an origami master to make
paper hats. It's amazingly easy. Your toddler will be
fascinated by the way your creations change the way she
looks.
Good for age: 18 months (but older and younger kids
might enjoy it, too!)
Skills developed: imagination
What you'll need: newspaper or other large pieces of
paper, tape
The simplest kind of paper hat to make is a wizard's
hat. Just roll the paper into a cone and tape the ends
together. Ta-dah! You and your toddler are ready to
cast some glorious spells.
Create hats for both your toddler and yourself, and have a
blast together as you try them on (and off and on ... ) in front
of a mirror.
