Apendix 1. Marijuana Slang Terms Urban Dictionary Definitions
Purple—“extremely potent marijuana, specifically marijuana buds that have a purple hue to
them. Also accompanied by a fragrant, usually fruity smell and mad perma-grin”
Loud—“a slang term for marijuana of high quality. The word was originated in the eastside of
Atlanta, zone 6;”
Cali Green—“yet another term for the illegal drug marijuana see cheebster, grass;”
K2—“a currently completely legal drug in the United States that looks a lot like potpourri but
gives out effects very similar to marijuana, sometimes called roses. It is actually synthesized
THC but does not come up on a drug test.”]
Kush—“A strain of Cannabis, almost solely of the Indica variety. The name "Kush" originates
from the Hindu-Kush mountains where it was cultivated for thousands of years. This sweet
smelling plant is part of the Cannabis Indica family, which leads the plant to be short and squat
in appearance. Some forms of Kush, however, are in fact a hybrid between Cannabis Indica and
Cannabis Sativa...which leads to greater harvests. Varieties of the Kush plant include,(But are
not limited to), Hindu Kush, OG Kush, Purple Kush, Master Kush. Many crossbreeds exist as
well.
Chiba—“Marijuana.”
Indo—“Marijuana, specifically modern crossbreeds of Indonesian (hence, "Indo") indica strains
with western sativa, resulting in pungent, broad-leafed, THC-crystal laden buds, or "trees". Often
confused for a short form of "indoor", which is where most of this type of marijuana is now
grown.”
Pineapple Express— “High Grade medical marijuana grown in Southern California. A hybrid
cross created from a forced hermaphrodite OG Kush plant pollenating an AK-47 female.
Primarily (75%) Indica with Sativa undertones. Medium Height. A taste of pineapple & citrus.
THC 16.8%.”
