Being Human: The Origins of Us

Find out what sets humans apart from other
creatures. Is it our big brains and dependence
on culture, our unique sense of ourselves, or
our relentless quest to find meaning in the
universe? Journey back into the paleontological
and archeological records to search for clues
to the origins of human consciousness.
Discuss the development of language, culture,
personality, science and religion and weigh
these factors against our own assumptions.

writer, and futurist. She holds an MA in sociocultural anthropology from Catholic University with
a specialty in gender studies and ethnopsychology.

Celtic spirituality is a spiritual practice founded
in the warmth and beauty of Ireland and her
people. Explore the history of Celtic spirituality,
and its practice from its beginnings in pagan
worship, through Christian practice, and
for today. Discover how Celtic spirituality is
incorporated into our own lives and how it can
be considered as a means to greater spiritual
awareness and understanding, including
pilgrimages, “thin places”, the celebration of
community, and artistic expression.
