2016-2017 Syllabus

Welcome to my class. We will be covering and building on many skills in third
grade. Below I’ve provided the syllabus that we will be following. I’ve tried to make
it detailed and user friendly, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to
ask. Thank you! Mrs. Loewe

Conference time: 1:10-1:50 (please schedule ahead)
Grading Policy:
Grades are weighted at 40% for daily grades and 60% for major grades. If a student
fails a test, there will be an opportunity for re-teaching and a re-test will be given
after the re-teach. The student will re-test on a weighted scale to earn a maximum of
90%.
Late Work:
After an absence, students have as many days as they were absent to make up the
work without penalty. An assignment turned in late will be noted in the
communication folder. Two days late will result in a ten percent deduction to the
assignment’s grade. After that, a zero may be recorded in the grade book.
Third Grade Behavior Expectations:
Listen to instructions.
Enter and exit prepared (with materials and work).
Always try your best!
Respect yourself and others (this includes keeping hands, feet, and objects to
yourself).
No excuses (take responsibility).
