School Lockdown Drill
The will be a school lockdown drill on Tues., May 2 in the morning.
Report Cards
Report cards will be distributed today in period 5. If you won’t be here in period 5 you can pick up your
report card on Monday from the main office.
Valedictorian/Salutatorian
Reminder to all students on the graduation list that the application for Valedictorian/Salutatorian are due
today. Voting for Valedictorian/Salutatorian will take place on May 4/5.
Graduation Banquet Memos
Tickets for the graduation banquet will go on sale on Tues., May 2 at 8:15am. Students should have
received a memo and order form in their homeroom on Mon., Apr. 25. Student who did not pick up their
forms are asked to come to the main office to do so.
A few important reminders:
1. There is a limit of 8 tickets per graduate. Orders of more than 8 will not be accepted.
2. Payment must accompany your ticket order in the form of cash or cheque. All cheques must be
dated prior to May 15/17.
3. If you wish to sit beside another graduate your orders must be handed in together.
4. Students will not be allowed to order banquet tickets when they are scheduled to be in a class.
Please review the memo that was attached to the banquet order form prior to ordering your tickets.
SRC Nominations
Today is the last day nominations will be accepted for co-presidents and grade 10 and 11 grade reps.
Please make sure your forms are handed in to the main office by 3:30pm today.
Grade 12 Fashion Show
There will be a meeting today at 12:05 in the theatre for any grade 12 student interested in being part of
the 2017 Grade 12 Fashion Show. There will be many ways to contribute to the show. You do not need
to be a runway model to take part. Bring your friends to the meeting and find out how you can get
involved with one of your final memories of high school.
SRC News
The SRC is planning some events for the month of May based around the virtues for the month of
creativity and generosity. Please participate and show your school spirit!
May 3 Homerooms will be asked to write what they are grateful for on a flower petal. We will be placing
all the petals on a stem up on the wall in the cafeteria.
May 5 Twin Day - here is your chance to dress the same as your BFF
May 11 Hat Day Half Day - Wear your favorite hat for half a day
May 16 Candy bag sales and music in the cafeteria - Good luck to the Senior Band on your music tour.
May 30 Socks and Sandals Day - Might as well
Box Lunch Auction
Coming up Wed., May 10. Start planning your lunches. Watch for posters in the hallways.
Senior Choir
See you today at noon!
Grade 12 Hiking Trip
Forms must be handed in to the main office.
Friday Noon Lunch Art Club
Club for the month of May and the first week of June.
All students welcome! Beginning Fri., May 5 at 12:05. Bring your lunch and draw for an hour. Sign up is
on the door of room 92 this week. Talk to Mrs. Donald or Mrs. Langford if you have any questions.
Library
A public library book has been left behind in the school library, if you are missing your book please stop
by and take a look.
Light and Sound
There will be a light and sound meeting on Wed., May 3 at noon in the theatre. Members please attend.
We need candid pictures for the yearbook.
Senior Hoodies
Orders will be accepted today at noon in the commons beside the south gym. Sample sizes will be
available. No orders will be taken after Wed., May 3. Hoodies will be $60 – cheque or cash.

Junior and Senior Football
Any player looking to play for either the junior or senior football teams next year, please come to a brief
but important meeting at 12:10pm in the north gym today. The meeting will take 10 mins. If you cannot
make this meeting you need to see Coach Hundseth in the men’s PE office ASAP.
Track and Field
Congratulations to the participants in the first mini-meet. There were many outstanding performances.
Next mini-meet is Wed., May 3. Very important meeting on Monday at lunch for sign up.
Summer Youth Internship Program
Deadline for the Summer Youth Internship Program is May 3, but if you would like Ms. Hofmann to review
your information, please hand in your application package, teacher recommendation forms and resume in
to Student Services, ASAP.
