COURSEDESCRIPTION:
This course takes a different look at the brain. It is an intriguing foray into the nature and examination
of a number of areas of mental health and disease and addresses particular questions which today’s
students will face during their education and their lives after leaving the university. It covers areas in
basic biomedical science and health that we are often questioned about, but often do not have an
explanation or an answer for. It will also be an enhancing stimulus for students who have a potential
desire to attend medical or dental school or one of the other health sciences.
