Valve Options
We have a product for virtually all of your
high-performance valve needs (from 1/4” up
to 24”). Jamesbury Double-Seal® full and
standard bore ball valves provide tight shutoff and minimum flow resistance. Their
unique flexible-lip sealing design not only
provides tight shut-off, but in the event of
pressure build-up in the body, they flex and
vent chlorine safely toward the high pressure (upstream) side of the valve. Jamesbury
Wafer-Sphere® high-performance butterfly
valves are perfect for both on-off and
proportional control applications. They offer
ball valve performance with lower torque
and a more efficient automation package.

Metso strives to be your chlor-alkali valve
supplier of choice. That is why we make
sure Jamesbury ball and Wafer-Sphere highperformance butterfly valves are designed,
tested and qualified to 23 internationally
recognized specifications and standards
including ANSI, ASTM, API, MSS and ISO.
In addition, we routinely subject our
products to our own rigorous testing. For
example, Jamesbury 3-point valve stem
seals - with our patent pending design -
recently completed a 50,000 helium cycle
test with 200°C (392°F) thermal transient. The
result: tight to 35 PPM Helium @ ambient
and 3.5 PPM Helium @ temperature under
dynamic cycling conditions.
Unique Polymeric Seat
Options
Versatile chlor-alkali polymeric seat options
for Jamesbury Double-Seal ball valves and
Wafer-Sphere high-performance butterfly
valves include PTFE and our completely
unique Xtreme® seat materials. Xtreme seats
allow you to cover temperatures to 260°C
(500°F) from a single seat material with leak
tight performance.
Liquid Chlorine Valves
(-20°F, -29°C & Lower)
Increase process efficiency with the high Cv
of a Ball Valve and compact size of a Ball
Valve. 1” – 3” ANSI Class 300 Valves are available for temperatures below -20°F (-29°C).
ASTM A352 LC3 material meet Chlorine
