EXPERTISE
Tony McVicker has enjoyed a very successful career as an Independent
Adjuster in the Vancouver market since 1991. He started with Kernaghan
Adjusters as a general multi-lines adjuster trainee under the direct
supervision of company founder, Stanley Kernaghan, and eventually
advancing to the handling of large loss claims.

In 1994, Tony joined the Dominion of Canada General Insurance
Company in their Special Investigations Unit (SIU) where he acquired
deeper insurance industry insight and understanding before returning
to KA several years later to manage our Surrey Branch. His expertise has
expanded to include major large loss exposures and fire investigations
valued upwards of $6,000,000.00.

Tony’s background is as diverse as it is dynamic. His education includes
a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Criminology, from Simon
Fraser University in 1989, and he has served as a federal Parole
Supervisor and as a Liaison Officer for both provincial and federal
penitentiaries. In addition, Tony’s strong passion for athleticism has
propelled him to the rank of 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do,
earning him the honor of representing BC at Canadian National and
Olympic Trials. Tony has also competed in 10 Ironman triathlons, his
longest run (The Eagle) lasting over 15 ½ hours.
Tony is a highly-respected and trusted professional who understands the
critical importance of quality service to clients. He has a passion for
detail and precision, always goes the extra mile in his investigations, and
works shoulder to shoulder with his staff to complement their expertise
and nurture new skills. Known for his infectious laugh, Tony has the
unique ability to engage people and bring all parties together to solve
the issues before them. These exceptional skills have earned Tony the
position of Vice President Southern BC Operations and an important
place on KA’s Senior Management Team.
