DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT TO THE PEDREGAL AND VILLA DESCANSO
As you depart the airport, continue straight through the stop sign and then bear left on the toll road (if you go
right, it will also work except you’re going through downtown San Jose del Cabo). You will eventually come
to a toll station in about 8 miles (fees are about $3 USD). About ¼ mile after the tollbooth, turn Right on the
main the main highway #1. This 4-lane highway takes you directly into Cabo (about 18 miles). As you enter
town, it becomes Lazaro Cardenas. Continue straight on Lazaro Cardenas through downtown. Once you’ve
passed El Squid Roe you will turn left in about 3/8 of a mile on Cabo San Lucas Blvd (it is a one way street
to the left). Cabo San Lucas Blvd. Will terminate in about ½ mile and merges into Marina Blvd. Continue
straight on Marina Blvd until you see the Pedregal Entrance on your right in about 1/8 to 1/4 mile.
Turn right into the Pedregal and straight ahead you will stop at the Pedregal Security Station. Indicate to
Security that you will be residing at Villa Descanso on the Pacific Ocean side. Below you find a form that
you may need to show (or give a copy to) security showing that you have permission to enter and stay at
Descanso.
Descanso has enough off-street parking for two vehicles located on the street the garage doors are facing. It
is about 50 feet past the garage. You may also park on the street right in front of the Villa main entry door if
you have a permit provided by security as you enter for the first time. **Be sure to ask them for one and
hang it from the rear-view mirror**.
Along with the Parking permit, Security will give you a notice regarding excessive noise guidelines and fines.
Please be aware of your noise level (including music) when outside on the decks. They are very strict on this.
Now start following your map to Descanso. You basically head up and over the big mountain in front of you
and down the other side (Pacific Side). If you get totally lost, you can go back and ask Security for assistance,
or stop one of the security vehicles and they will point you in the right direction. Have a great self-guided
tour!
Fortunato and Sylvia (the caretakers) will meet you at Villa Descanso and help to get you settled in and
acquainted with the Villa.

**Please note, there have recently been a number of accidents along Cabo’s beautiful beaches
including Pedregals. These accidents typically happen either when people strolling the beaches
are not paying attention to the waves or changing tides, which have a strong undertow. These
waves are not safe to swim, surf or bodysurf in. While you might witness locals, or others doing
so, it does not mitigate the inherent dangers of the ocean. The owners of the villas you are
staying in strongly encourage that you, your family and guests DO NOT swim in these waters.
