Activate the button ”Turn editing on” on the top right and then click in the preferred topic on ”Add an activity or resource”. 2. Under the activities section choose ”Checkmark” and click ”Add”. 3. In the first section type in a ”Checkmark name” and a ”Description”. Under ”Checkmark” define the parameters “Number of examples” and ”Number of first example”. Enter the maximum points of the exercise in the section ”Grade”. The preset configuration in this section is 10 examples with 10 points each. If you want to use individual names click ”Show more” in the section ”Checkmark”. Then mark ”activate individual function”. Under ”Individual names” define the example names, under ”Individual prefix” define a prefix which will be put in front of all individual names and under ”Individual grades” define the weight of every example. Separate the values with a comma. After completion click ”Save and display”. After students have submitted their checkmark click on the top right ”View X submitted checkmarks” (Note: The letter ”X” is a variable and stands for the number of submitted checkmarks.) 4. The tab ”Submissions” shows a tabular form of all students and their submissions, i.e. which student has checked which mark. In this form it is possible to grade the students too. You can grade one student only (Element A: ”Grade”) or use the auto-grading (Element B). For auto-grading first select those students, who you want to grade (B1). Optionally, you can also use the selectors ”All / None / Ungraded / Submitted” (B2). Afterwards select “grade automatically” from the dropdown list and click on “start” (B2). An overview of all checkmarks can be printed for the lecture hall by selecting the tab ”Export”. 5. On the ”My Moodle” page in the block ”Semester overview” you find an useful summary to the checkmarks of a course.
