Kyle interior LED downlight. A recessed spotlight providing a
warm light.
This Italian made fitting has a fixed optic with an anti-glare ring
to ensure visual comfort. An adjustable and slightly brighter
option to this fitting is the Kiral.
Aluminium body. Available in white or black colour finishes and
a variety of beam angles and light output colours.
Suitable for various downlight applications.
Supplied with retaining spring for false ceilings.

Installation Guidance Notes
Installation notes - Find a suitable location for driver and ensure the correct type of cable has been fed between
the driver and the location of where the light fitting will be installed. All electrical work must be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
Installation – For recessed light fittings: Check the cut out dimensions for the fitting on the specification sheet
and cut an accurate hole to house the light fitting. Ensure the thickness of where the light fitting is to be housed is
not under the minimum stated on the specification sheet. Depending on access, the cable can be connected to the
fitting before being pushed into place. If there is access to the rear of the fitting, connection can be made after
pushing it into place.
For surface mounted light fittings: Ensure the light fitting is firmly secured to the surface. As with recessed
fittings the connections can be made before or after mounting depending on access. Connect the other end of the
cable to the driver.
Driver – Use a driver that is suitable for the light fitting or fittings you are installing. Do not switch on power to
the driver without also connecting to the light fitting or fittings. Check the driver specification sheet for
maximum distances to the light fitting and for how many fittings can be driven from each driver. Multiple
drivers can be connected together to operate in unison by the means of sync cables. Joseph Read can recommend
and supply suitable drivers.
Fire hoods and fire boxes – Refer to current building regulations for what type and when fire hoods and fire
boxes are to be used. Joseph read recommends the use of fire boxes. Do not cover with insulation.
Recess depth – Check the product specification sheet for the minimum thickness of the material where the fitting
is to be situated.
Dimming – 1-10v or DMX dimming may be possible. Check the product specification sheet if dimming is
possible. Joseph Read can recommend and supply various options for dimming.
Wiring – Joseph Read take no responsibility for the incorrect wring of our products. Check the product
specification sheet for the type of wiring required for the fitting you are installing, pay particular attention to
whether the product is to be wired in series or parallel. To avoid a voltage drop a calculation to establish the
correct cable thickness can be made using the calculating tables within the current IEE Wiring Regulations.
