Did you know that within the six counties of the Diocese of Camden, there are nine prisons and jails? Across these facilities, over 100 Catholic volunteers serve inmates’ spiritual needs while they are in prison. If you feel called to “Visit the Imprisoned” as a volunteer or would simply like to learn more about this ministry, join Catholic Charities for a Prison Ministry Day of Reflection on Saturday, June 4. This year's featured speaker is Father David Link, a well-known prison chaplain from the Diocese of Gary Indiana with an inspiring personal story and commitment to ministering to the imprisoned. Attendees will also hear from former inmates who will share their experiences of prison ministry and its impact on their lives. The event will take place from 9 a.m.to 2:30 p.m. at the former Sacred Heart School, 1010 East Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Contact Sister Mary Lou Lafferty to register: 856-342-4106. All are welcome. Dear Lord, may I see your face in those who are in prison. May my heart be filled with urgency to act on their behalf in honor of you. Amen.
