Student handout Design and build your own vacuum cleaner, hair dryer or toy car Task preferences! Credit: panbems Student: Today you are working as designers/engineers. Your group (4-5 students in each group) can choose to design and build either a vacuum cleaner, a toy car or a hair dryer. You may inquire about them to find out how they work. Based on that or in your inferences, you are expected to make a plan of your design (with a drawing) and describe different components in it. You are also expected to actually build your designed artifact, test it out, and maybe refine it. Finally, you will present your design and actual artifact to your classmates in 5 minutes.
