Vice President
Welcome to the Tennessee Baptist Missionary and Educational
Convention, Inc. 2016 Middle Region Annual Session. My
prayer is that the Lord will bless us with grace and equip us with
insightful wisdom to improve ministries in the church for the
glory of His Kingdom. I am confident that God has ordained our
steps to gather and share our spiritual gifts for effective
ministries in the places we worship our Lord.
On behalf of the Middle Region, Rev. Robert Earl Bell, Assistant
Vice President of the Middle Region, and I want to thank Pastor
Morris E. Tipton, Jr. and the First Baptist Church East Nashville
Family for their generous hospitality and sacrifices made to
ensure a successful session. I am humbly grateful to all District
Associations, moderators, pastors, officers, and members who have participated in various
activities to make this a successful session. Without your time, energy, resources, and helpful
wisdom this session would not be possible.
I am humbled and grateful for this appointment by our President, Rev. Dr. Marvin Mercer, Sr.,
to serve as Middle Region Vice President. I know with much prayer and hard work the Tennessee
Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention, Inc. will fulfill its God-given purposes for the
Kingdom of our Mighty God, and with grace and the power of the Holy Spirit we can claim
victory in the gospel of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
