Army Teen Panel (ATP) Application Section I: Applicant Criteria and Submission Instructions The Army Teen Panel (ATP) serve as the “voice of Army youth” for Army senior leaders. Each year one half of the ATP membership retires from ATP having completed their two year term, resulting in half of its membership positions being vacant. Each Region Headquarters/Command selects one new member annually to fill the vacant ATP positions. New member applications are sent to Family & MWR Command for processing. Army Teen Panel membership selection includes ATP members from each of the following Regions/Commands: U.S. Army Northwest U.S. Army Southeast U.S. Army West U.S. Army Pacific U.S. Army Korea U.S. Army Europe U.S. Army National Guard U.S. Reserves U.S. Army Accessions Command Wounded Warrior Program Teens interested in becoming ATP members must meet the following criteria prior to submitting an application to their Region/Command for consideration: a. Have a grade point average of “C” (or the equivalent grade point in a 4.0 grade point scale) or better in school, both during application process and during their term as ATP members. b. Be involved with Youth Program at his or her Installation/Command c. Be able to attend up to three meetings annually, possibly missing school. Applicant must have not scheduling conflicts that prohibit attending ATP meetings (i.e., seasonal sports and other school activities which require attendance for more than two weeks). d. Be a family member of a U.S. Army Active Duty Soldier, Army retiree, Army civilian employee, Army National Guard or Army Reserve e. Be a citizen of the United States f. Be a member in good standing in the military or civilian community g. Be able to serve for a two-year membership term h. Have experience speaking, presenting, and/or briefing adult and youth audiences i. Be able to work with both adults and youth to plan and implement activities j. Have strong writing skills k.
