Logo Version #1 – Reflection over the Y. (10 points) Step #1: Create

Creating Your Brand.
You have been chosen to appear on the acclaimed Shark Tank to pitch your name
brand and product to the sharks (millionaires who are willing to fund your project).
The process involves creating a geometrical transformation using reflection,
translation, and rotation to get their attention. The more unique and colorful your
image is, the more likely they are to choose it. Listed below are the guidelines for this
project. You will create up to three versions of your logo and pick your best one to
present.
Logo Version #1 – Reflection over the Y. (10 points)
Step #1: Create an image on graph paper, it must be small enough to fit
and then reflect on the paddy paper.
Step #2: Reflect your image onto the Paddy Paper across the Y axis.
*Remember copy your pre-image from the graph paper, onto the
patty paper
*Draw a y-axis across the entire piece of paddy paper
*Fold it in half, and trace your pre-image to create your entire
image.
Step #3: Once you have your image on the paddy paper, use it as a
model to convert it to another piece of graph paper, color it and then put
the name of your company or logo on the front of it. LABEL it LOGO #1
Logo Version #2 – Reflection over the X (10 points)
Step #1: Create an image on graph paper, it must be small enough to fit
and then reflect on the paddy paper.
Step #2: Reflect your image onto the Paddy Paper across the X-axis.
*Remember copy your pre-image from the graph paper, onto the
patty paper
*Draw an x-axis across the entire piece of paddy paper
*Fold it in half, and trace your pre-image to create your entire
image.
Step #3: Once you have your image on the paddy paper, use it as a
model to convert it to another piece of graph paper, color it and then put
the name of your company or logo on the front of it. LABEL it LOGO #2
Logo Version #3 – Translation (10 points)
Step #1: Create a pattern to wrap your product in that is an example of
translation on graph paper.
Step #2: Include a table that shows the coordinates of how it was
translated.
Step #3: Once you have your image on the graph paper color it and then
put the name of your company or logo on the front of it. LABEL it LOGO

Logo Version #4 – Rotation (10 points)
Step #1: Create an image at the origin on a piece of graph paper.
Step#2: Use a piece of patty paper to trace your pre-image.
Step #3: Use the pre-image on the patty paper and rotate it 90 degrees
about the origin. Crate a rotated logo image by tracing over the patty
paper until you get all the way around the origin.
Step #4: Color it LABEL IT LOGO #4
FINAL LOGO (10 points)
Select your final logo image from the 4 you have crated, and put it on a
final piece of graph paper with your product name.
Total = 50 points
