The Nitrogen Cycle and TerraBella® •  The Nitrogen cycle is the process
by which nitrogen in the
environment is converted between
its various chemical forms
•  In the environment, this includes:
1)  Fixation of dinitrogen gas from
the air into NH4+-N (ammonium)
2)  TerraBella® has “free-living”
nitrogen fixation bacteria. This
means the bacteria are not
dependent on a specific crop
type to fix nitrogen from the
atmosphere into the soil.
The Nitrogen Cycle and TerraBella® conGnued… •  In soil, this includes:
1)  Conversion of NH4+-N
(ammonium) into N03- -N (nitrate)
2)  TerraBella® has nitrifying bacteria
that convert ammonium to nitrate
(nitrate is more available to
plants than ammonium)

fungi that colonize plant roots
