Jim Hawkins lived with his mother at the Admiral Benbow Inn on the coast
of England. One evening, an old sailor named Billy Bones arrived at the inn.
Billy Bones handed Jim Hawkins a weathered map to Treasure Island.
Jim decided to get a ship and a crew, and go search for Treasure Island. The
crew’s cook was a large man with one leg named Long John Silver. Silver was
a charismatic sailor, and everyone liked him.
The ship sailed out of the port, and traveled for many days. Soon Treasure
Island appeared on the horizon. Everything seemed to be going well, until
suddenly a mutiny occurred aboard the ship. The mutiny was led by none
other than Long John Silver. It turned out the crew members were actually
pirates.
The pirates took Jim to Treasure Island. Jim managed to escape. As he ran
through the jungle, he met a man named Ben Gunn, who had been stranded
on Treasure Island for many years.
Meanwhile Silver and his crew arrived at the location of the treasure, but the
treasure was missing. Ben Gunn had moved the treasure, and far away from
the pirates, he showed it to Jim.
Together they loaded the treasure onto the ship and sailed away, leaving the
pirates stranded on Treasure Island.
