Scrapbook Assignment
Imagine you’ve discovered a scrapbook created by one of your relatives. The scrapbook
contains news articles, diary entries and relevant pictures regarding major economic events
between the years of 1896-1960. Recreate this scrapbook based on the economic events
outlined below. The following must be included in your scrapbook:
 Two news articles (which should be as authentic as possible)
 Two diary entries (the perspective of someone living in the period, this
could be a man, woman or child, a worker or factory owner, etc.)
 At least four pictures (each picture should have a small caption)
 A bibliography at the end of the scrapbook (MLA Style)
Each written entry should be at least 200 words in length. Remember the text and images
need to be reflective of the economic events from the period (1896-1960)
The questions below correspond with different topics. These questions must
be incorporated in each of the articles/entries you write. However, these
are just a starting point; use at least three other sources for information. A
list of web sources will be provided. Cite all your sources in the bibliography.
Instructions for using MLA will be provided. Place the events in the correct
chronological order in your scrapbook.
