Unit 4 Menu Choices Western Europe (For fun: Use Google Translator and make assignment
in the countries language)
• Landform Cube: Fill the 6 sides with information about your landform. Write your answers in
complete sentences. Use textbook pages 332-351 and encyclopedias. Color your picture and
outline everything. Questions to answer:

Tell about the economy. What kind of industries do they have (dairy, steel, fishing, etc.)

Unit 4 Menu Choices SOUTHERN EUROPE
Plan a Day Tour of a City: Create an agenda for a family to visit a Southern European City.
Fold an 8.5” X 11” paper in half. Decorate the front cover with a catchy slogan and
illustration. On the inside, create a timeline that will take the family from breakfast at the
Hotel, visits to historical sites, and to an evening stroll on their most famous street.

• Fact Cards: Choose a Nordic country. (Ch. 15. Create 6 fact cards. Include facts
and illustrations about the landforms, resources, and history of that country. 1st

• Greeting Card: You have chosen to move to a country in the British Isles or
Northern Europe. Include an illustration on the front page of your card. On the
inside, write a message to a friend back home telling them all about the culture
of your new country.
• Draw a large picture on the front of your card. (Color and outline)
• Your message to your friend needs to be 4 paragraphs describing the culture

• G.R.A.P.E.S.: Choose a country in Eurasia to be the focus of your GRAPES Diagram. The
name of that country should be written across the top of your paper. Write descriptive
sentences that give information about your chosen country for each category. Include a
decorative border and/or illustration

• Windowpane: Divide a piece of paper into at least 6 squares. Each square must include a
picture and words that tell facts about your chosen Eastern European country. Divide a piece
of paper into six squares.

• Each box should have a picture about your country. The sentence in the box should describe what your
picture is about
