BES FAMILY TAKE-APART NIGHT TUESDAY, JANUARY 17TH 7-8PM Join Us for Branchville's first-ever Take-Apart Night in the BES Cafeteria! A retired GE Engineer with experience in everything from cell phones to nuclear missiles will be leading this fun evening designed to build curiosity and learning in your kids. Kids will have a chance to see how things work and use their hands (and, if all else fails, a hammer) to explore items they use and see every day. What to Bring to the Event: Any old mechanical-type small appliances and contraptions. Old VCRs, coffee makers, phones, CD players are great. (Note: They won't be put back together -- so don't bring anything you are still using). If you don’t have an item, email Jen Mathy ASAP. We have a few things available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring your take-apart item, a Phillips-head screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, a hammer and some newspaper to the BES cafeteria by 7pm on Tuesday, January 17th. The event is only one hour long – so please be on time! Any questions you have about Invention Convention. If your child is signed up – or thinking about signing up – for Invention Convention, our chairs will be on hand to answer questions. Arrive by 6:45pm for a quick Q&A Session. The Take-Apart event, though, is for EVERYONE – even those not interested in Invention Convention. RSVP by Tuesday, January 10th! We need to plan for space – and buy safety goggles for everyone!
