Outreach Education Programme Objectives:
Through these educational programmes, students can describe the Big Bang theory, explain the age and
origin of the Solar System and illustrate differences between Earth and other planets in the Solar System, be
able to describe origin of life on Earth, vastness of our galaxy Milky-Way, how galaxies are formed. Students
should be able to explain the concept of light years , black hole and dark matter.

of the Moon
About Mars : Modern Views of Mars . Atmosphere and Geology of Mars, machine on Mars
About Earthquake - Data-driven visualizations illustrate Earth's story, revealing how subtle motions and
sudden ruptures have shaped our planet
About Dark Matter - Invisible dark matter makes up most of the universe, but we can only detect it from its
gravitational effects
About Black Hole - A black hole is a place in space-time where gravity pulls so much that even light cannot
get out

Mysteries
of the Universe
Mysteries Of The Universe
Mysteries
Of The Universe
Duration : 28 Minutes
Audience : Family / 12 years+
The universe was born with the Big Bang as an unimaginably hot, dense point.
From the edge of space and time, through vast fields of wondrous galaxies, to the majesty of our
solar system, this show will take audience on a grand tour of the universe, our solar system,
formation of our Earth, Moon and other planets and their cosmic journey, and let them
experience its most provocative secrets.
Up Above The Clouds
Up Above The Clouds
Duration : 20 Minutes
Audience : Under 12 years
(Parents will equally enjoy the show)
The sky, and everything that happens in it, has always piqued our children’s curiosity. Our sun,
the regular cycle of the seasons, and the motion of the stars have fascinated us since our
earliest ancestors looked up to the sky.
The show explains in very simple terms about day and night cycle, air, cloud, our solar system,
our earth, moon and other planets and constellations.
Back To The Moon For Good
Duration : 25 Minutes
Audience : Family /12 years +
BACK TO THE MOON
FOR GOOD
Immerse yourself in a race to return to the Moon 40 years after the historic Apollo landings.
See how a competition among privately funded international teams is ushering in a new era
of lunar exploration. Learn about the Moon's resources and discover what humanity's future
on the Moon might hold. Narrated by Tim Allen, Back To The Moon For Good presents the
Google Lunar XPRIZE, and the personal stories of competition and collaboration it inspires.
From Earth To The Universe
Duration : 30 Minutes
Audience : 12 years +
Produced by : European Southern Observatory
A desire to comprehend the Universe may well be humanity’s oldest shared intellectual
experience. Yet only recently have we truly begun to grasp our place in the vast cosmos. To learn
about this journey of celestial discovery, from the theories of the ancient Greek astronomers to
today’s grandest telescopes, we invite you to experience From Earth to the Universe.
Earthquake – Evidence of Restless Planet
Duration : 23 Minutes
Audience : Family /12 years +
Earthquake
A sweeping geological journey, Earthquake explores the forces that transform the surface of
our planet. After a stunning flight over the San Andreas Fault, audiences travel back in time
to experience San Francisco's infamous 1906 earthquake.
Data-driven visualizations illustrate Earth's story, revealing how subtle motions and sudden
ruptures have shaped our planet over eons-and how geological activity influences the course
of human history. Finally, we see how scientists and engineers help society prepare for a
safer future.
Produced By: California Academy of Sciences
Map to the Chocolate Planet
Duration : 24 Minutes
Audience : Under 12 years / Family
Two alien kids in some other Galaxy got the taste of Chocolate. In search of some imaginary
planet made up of chocolate, they traveled the Universe leading to our Milky Way.
Searching each planet of the solar system to derive which one is made of chocolate, they learn
lots of other interesting facts about our Solar System. Explained to kids about our solar system
and planets through a very interesting story.
Solar Quest
Duration : 12 Minutes
Audience : 12 years+
"Solar Quest" is a full dome planetarium short feature that demonstrates how the Sun and
Earth are interconnected and that we are "Living with a Star".
High quality animations display solar phenomena such as fusion and light energy as well as
solar surface features and events. Granules, solar flares and coronal mass ejections are
highlighted. The show discusses the impacts of space weather and how the Earth’s
atmosphere and magnetic field protects all life on Earth.
An Introduction To Astronomy
Duration : 28 Minutes
Audience : 12 years+
Astronomy is the oldest science, with the first observations of the heavens conducted by our
early human ancestors.
Historical records of astronomical measurements date back as far as Mesopotamia nearly 5000
years ago, with later observations made by the ancient Chinese, Babylonians, and Greeks.
Humans seek to explain their world with (internal) models; one of the earliest is that the affairs
of humans and the world are controlled by the positions of the stars and planets.
Two Small Pieces of Glass
Duration : 25 Minutes
Audience : Family /12 years +
Two Small
Pieces of Glass
400 years ago, a simple adjustment to a child’s spyglass revealed for the first time an
infinite and perplexing universe to our eyes and imaginations. Join us today, as the
world’s great telescopes, born of that serendipitous moment, gaze ever further into the
distant past — and into our future.
While attending a local star party, two teenage students learn how the telescope has
helped us understand our place in space and how telescopes continue to expand our
understanding of the Universe. Their conversation with a local female astronomer
enlightens them on the history of the telescope and the discoveries these wonderful
tools have made.
Dark – the Dark Matter
Duration : 20 Minutes
Audience : 12 years +
Dark
DARK Matter explains and explores the nature of dark matter, the missing 95% of the
mass of the Universe.
Our search for Dark Matter is the most pressing astrophysical problem of present
time – the solution to which will help us understand why the Universe is as it is,
where it came from, and how it has evolved over billions of years – the unimaginable
depths of deep time, of which a human life is but a flickering instant. We journey
through completely immersive visualisations of Dark Matter evolution calculated
upon some of the world’s fastest super computers.
The Sun
Duration : 16 Minutes
Audience : Under 12 years
Our Sun is a star in the Galaxy. We see it as a large round red ball only because we are
much closer to the Sun than to any of the other stars. Other stars may be larger,
brighter, smaller or fainter than our Sun but they are so very far away that we only see
them as points of light in the night sky.
The Sun
You Are Here!
Our Astounding Universe
Duration : 23 Minutes
Audience : 12 years+
The universe is so vast that it’s extremely difficult to know the full extent of its
complexities. Humans can only scratch at the surface of its immensity.
The universe was born with the Big Bang as an unimaginably hot, dense point. The
universe was experienced an incredible burst of expansion known as inflation, in
which space itself expanded faster than the speed of light.
While the Earth and the other planets of the solar system orbit around the Sun, the
Sun itself is orbiting around the centre of our galaxy, the Milky Way.
