Quality of treated water
Meeting with the water quality requirements given by the GUIDES FOR DRINKING WATER QUALITY of the WHO or with the NATIONAL
REGULATIONS FOR DRINKING WATER established in each country.
Raw water features
Medium quality FRESH WATER; usually surface water founded in rivers, lakes and reservoirs. Main characteristics:
▪ Concentration of dissolved solids; TDS < 1.000 mg/l. No dissolved pollutant in higher concentration than limit allowed.
▪ Concentration of suspended solids and turbidity; TSS < 40 mg/l, Turbidity < 15 NTU.
▪ Presence of organic matter and pathogens.
Standard Features
SAND MEDIA FILTRATION
Filtration through silex and anthracite media, housed inside FRP tanks. Filtration grade: 30 micron. Included system for autonomous pressurized
water backwash; temporized or pressure drop control.
AUTOMATION AND INSTRUMENTATION
PLC with operator touch screen. Included specific control program for the plant. Monitoring and control of pressure and flow.
ELECTRICAL PANEL AND CONNECTIONS
Metal cabinet including transformer, circuit breakers and motor starters. Included electrical installation with electromechanical equipments.
FRAMEWORK
Metal framework treated against corrosion and paint-finished, that integrates and protects all the equipments of the plant.
Options
▪ Coagulant/flocculant dosing; optimizes water filtration/decantation of suspended colloids.
▪ Oxidant dosing in pre-treatment; disinfection and oxidation of organic matter, Fe and/or Mn (↓ conc.) for subsequent filtration.
▪ Chlorine residual dosing; residual disinfection of treated water.
