agency of the Board’s choosing.
Section 3. The membership of the Fraternity shall consist of Student Members, Faculty Members, Alumni

Any other reason brought before the Executive Board for deliberation
v. a. In addition, a student member may take a “OnCampus Leave of Absence” while they
are still enrolled at Drexel University, due to the following reasons:
i. Medical Emergency
ii. Personal Hardship
Academic Courseload
iii. a. A student member may only take 2 terms’ worth of an OnCampus Leave of Absence
during their undergraduate career.
b. In order for a student to take either an OnCampus or OffCampus Leave of Absence
while still enrolled in Drexel University, the student must first submit a written application
to the Secretary and Vice President of Membership before the second Monday of the
desired term for approval. The application will then be forwarded on to the Regional
Director for final approval.
c. A Leave of Absence expires at the end of each academic term (with the exception of
Military Leave, Coop/Internship, and Study Abroad these are valid until the chapter
reinstates the member). Any student on a Leave of Absence whether on or
offcampus, is still responsible for paying National dues as part of their membership in the
Fraternity, but is relieved of all local dues for the Eta Psi chapter. Members on an
“OffCampus Leave of Absence” are still considered active, and are encouraged to
support the brotherhood and attend any fraternal events when possible. Members on an
“OnCampus Leave of Absence” are considered inactive and are not allowed to attend

there is debate on whether an event is open to OnCampus Leave of Absence brothers, a
decision should be voted upon by the Judicial Committee.
d. A member can extend their Leave of Absence for an additional academic term provided
they meet the criteria identified above.
3. Bad Standing: A Student Member will fall into “Bad Standing” as a result of failing to adhere to the
chapter bylaws, acquire the total merit points as required by the Quarterly Brother Report, have at least
80% attendance of chapter meetings, have a minimum term GPA of 3.0, or pay biannual dues within 30
days of the deadline set by the Vice President of Finance. If any of the above responsibilities are not
fulfilled during any term, the member will be placed into bad standing for the following term. All Student
Members in Bad Standing lose their right to vote. Additional situationspecific consequences for falling into
Bad Standing are as follows:
a. Bad Standing due to GPA – The brother is given one term to raise their GPA and will be required to
fulfill all QBR requirements.
b. Bad Standing due to QBR or Chapter Attendance – The brother is given one term to redeem
themselves and will be required to attend ALL chapter meetings in addition to fulfilling all QBR
requirements.
4. Suspended: A Student Member in “Suspended” status is an individual that has been temporarily
removed from the Eta Psi chapter roster for failing to acquire the total merit points as required by the
Quarterly Brother Report, have the above mandated attendance of chapter meetings, or have a minimum
term GPA of 3.0 for two consecutive terms. In addition, failure to meet financial requirements within 60
days of the deadline set by the Vice President of Finance will put the Student Member into suspension. A
student member in “Suspended” status may not take a leave of absence during their term of suspension.
The situationspecific consequences for falling into Suspension are as follows:
a. Suspension due to GPA: The member must achieve a term GPA of at least 3.0 for that term in order
to remain a brother. The member is only allowed to attend Fraternal Rituals; attendance of chapter
meetings or closed fraternal events will not be permitted. If, at the end of a member’s term of suspension,
they achieve a GPA of at least 3.0 for that term, they will be reinstated into Good Standing for the
following term. Failure to obtain a term GPA of 3.0 for the term of suspension will result in permanent
removal from the Eta Psi Chapter and Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity.
b. Suspension due to QBR or Chapter Attendance: The member must meet with Judicial Committee and
plan a professional, brotherhood, fundraising or service event. The event must require sufficient effort by
the member, be approved by Judicial Committee, and be executed within the term of suspension. The
member is required to attend ALL chapter meetings, but attendance of Fraternal Rituals, Formal, and
closed fraternal events will not be permitted until the event has been completed successfully and to the
satisfaction of the Judicial Committee. Upon executing a successful event, the member will be reinstated
into Good Standing (effective immediately) and may attend any and all chapter events. Failure to execute
a suitable event will result in permanent removal from the Eta Psi Chapter and Alpha Kappa Psi
Fraternity.
c. If any Suspended member is successfully reinstated into Good Standing (by completing their event or
achieving the required GPA), that member may not fall back into Bad Standing for the two active terms
immediately following their suspension (“Leave of Absence” terms do not count; the member must remain

SAFAC funding.
Section 4. An individual who is a member or a former member of any other professional fraternity in
commerce is NOT eligible to be a member of Alpha Kappa Psi. A member of Alpha Kappa Psi who joins
any other professional fraternity whose object and purpose, in the sole determination of the Board of
Directors of the Fraternity, is substantially identical to the objects and purpose of Alpha Kappa Psi shall be
terminated as a member thirty (30) days after notice is sent to the member explaining the reason for
termination and providing the member the opportunity to meet with the Board of Directors.
Section 5. A member who desires to transfer membership from the chapter of which he or she is a
member to this chapter (Eta Psi) may do so provided that: (i) the member presents to this chapter (Eta
