Supplies for Triangle Ornament: - two contrasting fabrics - button or charm - thread/ribbon for hanging - matching sewing thread 1. Cut two triangles with equal sides – a 9 inch triangle makes a nice sized ornament. 2. With right sides together, sew the triangles together on all three sides, leaving a small opening for turning. 3. Turn right side out and press, making sure corners are pointed. Sew the opening closed. 4. With knotted thread, take a stitch through one point, then the next, then the next, pulling up all the points until they meet in the middle. Stitch through the layers several times to secure. 5. Center the three points and push the needle through to the back of the fabric, catching all the fabric. 6. Flip the ornament over. It should now look like a hexagon. 7. Thread needle through center of one of the sides, pulling it into the middle. Repeat on two remaining sides, pulling all to the middle. Stitch several times to secure. 8. Thread needle through to the back, then back to the front to stabilize. 9. Stitch a button or charm to the center to hide junction point. 10. Stitch a hanging loop in one corner.
