General Weather Situation over the Lower Mekong Basin (LMB) 16 June 2015 General Condition: On June 16 2015 at 01.00 am Local Cambodia Time (LCT), the latitude from 00N to 280N and the longitude from 900E to 1250E, the weak trough lies across Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia and Viet Nam. The strong Southwest monsoon prevails over Andaman Sea, the Gulf of Thailand, Thailand and Indochina Peninsular (Figure 1). During June 16-18, the weak trough will lie across Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia and Viet Nam. From moderated to heavy rain will be likely in more areas in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, the South and the Central of Lao PDR, the South, the upper South of Viet Nam during 16-18 June 2015. The wind waves are expected about 1.0-2.5 meters high in the Andaman Sea and in the Gulf of Thailand during 16-18 June 2015. The trough lies across Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina Peninsular at the height of 1.5km (850 hPa). On June 16-18 2015, the weak trough will lie across Myanmar, Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia and Viet Nam. As the result of these phenomena, it will bring from moderated to heavy rain will be likely in more areas in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, the South and the Central of Lao PDR, the South, the upper South of Viet Nam during 16-18 June 2015.
