Contact your academic probation advisor:

to stay on track and meet your goals

Visit with your academic advisor if needed:
o Review your course schedule for the semester
o Determine if you have selected courses that you believe you will be successful in
o If possible, postpone courses that may be too challenging this semester
o Retake any courses that you failed or need a C- or better for your major
o Balance your course schedule to reflect a manageable work load for both your
school schedule and personal schedule

Frequently reference any resources your professors make available:
o Refer to the course syllabi for class policies and requirements
o Log in to Blackboard for assignments, due dates, and grades
o Stay in contact with your professor(s) on a regular basis

Use a planner:
o PSC provides a comprehensive calendar/student planner to students at no charge.
Visit the Center for Achievement and Transition Services (CATS) team to get
yours today
o Or purchase your own that fits your needs

Take advantage of the additional resources PSC provides:
o Tutoring
o Counseling
o PSC Library
o ADA/Disability Services

Officially withdraw from a course that you feel you may not be able to pass:
o See the academic calendar for official deadlines for withdrawing
o Visit with your academic advisor who can assist you in this process.
Note: Withdrawing from courses does affect your Financial Aid eligibility status
as does failing a course. Please visit with the appropriate Financial Aid
counselors with any questions you may have.

needed to return to good academic standing.
