DID YOU KNOW???
Did you know that St. Lawrence is lucky enough to have community volunteers who come into the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th
grade classrooms to teach Junior Achievement programs?
Junior Achievement (JA) is ensuring students have the knowledge and skills to succeed. Thanks to more than 2,100 JA classroom volunteers who committed to teaching JA programs, over 50,000 South Dakota students are being empowered to
achieve their dreams.
JA volunteers play a key role in bringing JA to life. By sharing their personal and professional experiences, JA volunteers
guide students to make the connection between what they are learning in school and what they will need to succeed in
work and life.
Please extend a special thank you to volunteers Laura Kelly, Scott Wiese, Mike Morgan, and Holly Seehafer
who participated in JA during the 2015-16 school year. Because of this teacher/JA volunteer partnership, students are well
on their way to preparing themselves to become our future leaders.
If you would be interested in sharing your knowledge and experiences with students in elementary, middle, or high school,
please contact the JA office at (605)336-7318 or [email protected]. A Junior Achievement experience will leave you feeling proud,
energized, and hopeful about a better future for our young people.
We are at
$10,790!

1.All: The Fruit of the Spirit’s Not a Coconut https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e47FnjKaT3Q
The fruit of the Spirit’s not a: Coconut, banana, watermelon, lemon, cherry, grape
The fruit of the Spirit’s not a -- Coconut, banana, watermelon, lemon, cherry, grape
If you want to be a Coconut, banana, watermelon, lemon, cherry, grape You might as well hear it you can’t be a fruit of the Spirit
Cause the fruits are Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and self-control.
2.5th: Patience https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGo_mpF8B3A
Verse 1: There was a snail called Herbert who was so very slow. He caused a lot of traffic jams wherever he would go.
The ants were always getting mad and the beetles, they would fume, But Herb would always poke along and sing this little tune
Solo1-2/Chorus: Have patience, have patience, Don't be in such a hurry. When you get impatient, you only start to worry.
Remember, remember that God is patient, too. And think of all the times when others have to wait for you.
Verse 2: When Herbert was much younger, he often got in trouble. Forgetting that he was a snail, he did things on the double.
He'd crash through every spider web and with crickets he'd collide. 'Til one day Herbert's father took his speeding son aside (Chorus)
Verse 3: As you can well imagine, there's a moral to this tale. Some of you may find yourselves behind a creeping snail. So if you get impatient and you're easily disturbed. Think about this little song and take a tip from Herb. (Chorus)
3. Kdg: Gentleness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BULo6nzHuhE
Verse 1: Gentle breeze, gentle breeze , Blowing through the trees, And the meadow filled with flowers
Chorus: Showing me Your gentleness How I love You, Showing me Your gentleness How I love You
Verse 2: In the still of the night When you draw me near, Just to whisper how you care
Verse3: Your dear Soon walked the earth He was full of love, Now He lives within my heart
4. 3rd: Faithfulness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2glyQRQAqM
Without faith it's impossible, (It's what?) it's impossible (What?) It's impossible (Oh!) to please God.
He who comes to God must believe that He is, And He rewards those who seek Him.
All things are possible, all things are possible, All things are possible. Just believe God will do everything that He says He will do;
And He re-wards those who seek Him.
5. 1st: Joy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORtIxJ3E_K4
Verse 1: Joy from me, joy from you, Joy is something that we do. Joy to me, joy to you And (scratch, scratch) others, too.
Verse 2: Give away pure delight Make someone feel alright. That's what joy really is Let's (scratch, scratch) learn to give.
Verse 3: La, La, La...
Chorus: Everybody seems to want to have joy everyday. Lots of folks don't even know it was made to give away (Verse 2)
6. 2nd: Peace https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqWVr_U6EfE 22:00
Boys: Peace is when the wind stops blowing, Peace is where the sun is showing.
Knowing that my Daddy's home, God gives me peace.
Chorus: Peace, peace, I think I understand, Peace, peace, Is holding Jesus' hand.
Girls: Peace is when I'm tucked in bed, When my mommy pats my head.
Peace is smiling while I sleep, God gives me peace. (Chorus)
7. TT Pre: Goodness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqWVr_U6EfE 24:34
Solo 1: Bees make honey and it sure tastes good. Did you ever smell a flower? Well it sure smells good. And you'd be good if you could see
how good being good can be.
Chorus: Goodness, goodness is God's idea, you see. He tells us in the Bible How good being good can be.
Solo 2: Did you ever have a dog that was good to you, Or a friend that you showed goodness to? I hope that you've begun to see How good
being good can be. (Chorus)
Solo 3: So this is the end of the story I tell. If you do good then you'll do well. I think by now we all agree how good being good can be.
(Chorus)
8. 6th: Love https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqWVr_U6EfE 26:30
Verse 1: Love, love, love makes people happy. Love, love, love makes people free. Love makes people do the things they know they ought to
do. Love is doing things for you and me.
Verse 2: Love love, love, love makes people friendly. Love love, love, love makes people kind. Love makes people do the things they know
they ought to do. Love is helping those who fall behind.
Verse 3: Love, love, love makes people thankful. Love, love, love makes people share. Love makes people do the things they know they
ought to do. Love is showing others that you care.
Chorus: We need more love. It's easy to see. We need God's love. That's the way it should be. (repeat)
Verse 4: Love, love, love makes people happy. Love, love, love makes people free. Love makes people do the things they know they ought to
do. Love is doing things for you and me. Love makes people do the things they know they ought to do. Love is doing things for you and me.
9. 4th Self-Control https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqWVr_U6EfE 29:00
Verse 1: Once I had a knot in my shoe And it would not come loose.I tried and tried and pried and pried But it would not come loose. I got
so mad I kicked the door and stubbed my little toe, ohhh. If only I had learned a little bit of self-control.
Chorus: Self-control is just controlling myself. It's listening to my heart. And doing what is smart. Self-control is the very best way to go. So I
think that I'll control myself.
Verse 2: I never like to brush my teeth I wish that I could stop. I'd have more time for candy bars And drinking soda pop. But soon my teeth
would hurt so bad. From all the cavities, oh me! I'd better learn some self-control. So this won't happen to me. (Chorus)
10. MWF Pre Kindness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqWVr_U6EfE 30:46
Verse 1: When I treat you kindly It makes you happy. Changes you inside. Makes you feel important, loved and special.
And it makes you kind.
Chorus: Isn't God good when He asks us just to love like He does? Isn't God good when He asks us just to be so kind?
Verse 2: When I treat you kindly. It makes you thankful. Changes you inside. Makes you feel encouraged, dear and precious.
And it makes you kind. (Chorus)

and It's easy to get angry - When you're having a bad day
and It's easy to be mean - When people do you wrong
and It's easy to complain - When you just can't get along
Chorus: but there's a better way (Hey, hey, hey!) God will help you each and every day. (Refrain)
6th Rap: 2. Well it's easy to be selfish - When you need to give away
and It's easy to run
- When you know you need to stay
and It's easy to quit
- Instead of staying ‘til the end

- Instead of speaking like a friend
