SPEAKERS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR:
George W. Bush served as the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009. After the Presidency,
George and Laura Bush founded the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, Texas. The Center is home to
the Bush Presidential Museum and Library, which houses George W. Bush’s presidential papers. The Center is also
home to the George W. Bush Institute, a public policy organization that focuses on economic growth, education
reform, global health, and human freedom. The Institute supports the rights of women with its Women’s Initiative
and honors those who have served in the United States armed forces through its Military Service Initiative.
President Bush is also the author of a bestselling memoir, Decision Points, and recently authored a book about his
father, President George H.W. Bush, titled 41: A Portrait of My Father.
Daymond John is the CEO and Founder of FUBU, a much-celebrated global lifestyle brand, and a pioneer in
the fashion industry with over $6 billion in product sales. He is an award-winning entrepreneur and has received
over 35 awards, including the Brandweek Marketer of the Year, Advertising Age Marketing 1000 Award for an
Outstanding Ad Campaign, and Ernst & Young’s New York Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2009 he joined
the cast of ABC’s entrepreneurial business show Shark Tank by acclaimed producer Mark Burnett.
Diana Nyad has never been one to quit. In July of 2010, at the age of 60, she began her “Xtreme Dream” quest
of swimming from Cuba to Florida, a task she had failed to finish thirty years prior. Nyad was unsuccessful in her
quest in 2010 and tried two more times in 2011 and 2012, before completing the grueling 110-mile, 53-hour
journey in 2013, at the age of 64. She has written three books and is currently penning her memoir, set to be released
this fall. She recently debuted the one-woman show, Onward! The Diana Nyad Story, in Los Angeles and Key West.
