Standard color of the ACF products compared to the variable color of the leading competitor
ACF bacterial are rigorously tested for proper microbial population balance, thereby ensuring powerful, predictable, and
reproducible field results. Note that the natural biomass color of the heterotrophic and nitrifying bacteria is an amber
color. In contrast with competing products, in which the majority of the colored bacterial colonies are of the PNSB (purple,
non-sulfur bacteria) type and the primary color is distinctly reddish purple. Our ACF line has an equal or higher count of
PNSB, but also has a much larger quantity of heterotrophic and nitrifying bacteria in the product.
Our product color is amber with a reddish tint. So do not be fooled by color comparisons with competing products. Our
ACF products contain equal or higher count of PNSB than the competition. Remember that the vast numbers of
heterotrophic and nitrifying bacteria (which comprise 66% or more of the ACF line) are colored amber. Therefore, the final
blended color of ACF products is amber with a red tint, resulting from the inclusion of high numbers of amber-colored
heterotrophic and nitrifying bacteria, which due to the huge numbers present, largely mask the purple color of the PNSB.
