Match Day Entertainments and family engagement in Community Corner
Purpose of Role
Reporting directly to the Development Officer the Match Day Family Coordinator will be responsible for the
coordination of home match day entertainment activities for groups booked into the Community corner and
engaging with these families and fans prior to the match to ensure they have an enjoyable and memorable visit with
us at Ashton Gate.
Demonstrating enthusiasm, motivation and an outgoing nature, the Match Day Family Coordinator will be required
to organise a regular programme of entertainments for home games for the entire season as well as interact with
fans, both adult and children in a friendly and polite manner.
It is expected that entertainments will be sourced from local providers and wherever possible this will be done free
of charge in return for exposure of the entertainer’s services.
Developing positive relationships with fans through organising mini games and activities and friendly interaction
prior to matches, will be an important part of the role.
As a front line role within the Community Trust, the Match Day Family Coordinator will need to promote the
importance of the Trust to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the vision and values of the
organisation are continually met.
Responsibilities
1. To demonstrate a positive and friendly face in a front line role of the Community Trust
2. To coordinate a programme of entertainers for home match days for the Community and Family Stands
throughout the season.
3. To engage with fans and families on match days in a professional and courteous manner organising mini
games and activities to help with entertainments pre match.
4. To coordinate flag bearers at the start of each match and at half time.
5. To support the work of other Trust staff in the Community Park on match days.
6. To develop internal relationships within the Trust and BCFC
7. To develop and improve relationships with current participants and stakeholders
8. To proactively seek and suggest new areas of business development
9. To develop, protect and enhance the Bristol City Community Trust brand
10. To collect and manage customer feedback in order to positively affect future performance
11. To participate in performance review meetings.
12. To positively use social media as a means to advertise pitch side entertainments– Facebook, twitter etc.
13. To carry out any other duties as required which are commensurate with the level of the post

Personal Specification
The Match Day Family Coordinator must have the relevant skills and ability to improve lives through football and
learning.
They must have the ability to develop good relationships with supporters and be able to work independently as well
as part of a team. They must be a positive and friendly individual with excellent organisation and communication
skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Knowledge
An understanding of football and empathy with the fans’ experience on a match day.
A knowledge of local entertainment service providers or how these can be accessed

As this role involves direct access to young persons under the age of eighteen, within the context of the job or any
subsequently related activities or responsibilities, the successful candidate will undergo a thorough screening
process, which will include a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure, to ensure their suitability for the role. Any
