Something Italians do best is blend their surroundings through all aspects of life,
whether it be architecture, food or beverage. We’ve adopted this intention
through the location, building and menu of Cibo Urbano Cucina.
Located in a beautiful, 1906 brick heritage building on 17th Avenue, Cibo pays
homage to its past through reclaimed features throughout the venue. During

renovations, original brick tiles from the Medicine Hat Brick Company were left
exposed, hardwood floors were restored, and reconditioned products were
sourced from all over central and southern Alberta to retain the classic feel of
the space.

Beltline community to learn what people truly wanted in a restaurant. We
listened to what was said and combined it with our expertise to create what Cibo
is today: A casual, flavour-driven, high-quality experience that appeals to all ages.
Our menu is made to share because that’s how we feel food is served best. Chef
Glen Manzer combines traditional Italian methods with his own innovation to
create simple, delicious dishes created from the best ingredients possible.
So come join us! Eat a little, eat a lot, but above all enjoy!

kitchen. The walls tell their own story with exposed historic brick and
reconditioned wood. Square wood tiles on the floor are sourced from
pine-beetle affected lodge pole wood from Rocky Mountain House Alberta.
At the front of the room, a lounge is perfect for cocktail-style parties with
high-top tables and bar-style seating — able to accommodate up to 30
guests. In the centre of the space, a communal table of torch-toasted Sitka
Plank from Vancouver Island is available for groups of 30 or less.
The rear of the room hosts additional seating for 30 guests, right in the
heart of the action near the open kitchen. These two spaces perfectly
complement each other to offer a stand-up cocktail gathering, followed by a
sit-down dinner.

Pieces of Calgary’s heritage are preserved throughout, with wine racks
custom built from the building’s original window casings and vanities in the
women’s washroom that sit atop a former prop maker’s table from Calgary’s
Grand Theatre.
This level is extremely versatile, able to host sit-down events with a range of
10 to 120 guests. For standing, grandioso events the space can accommodate
up to 200 guests.
At the rear of the space our beautiful private wine room is available for
parties of 12 or less. With a sliding door, this room is fully-private.

grandioso event. Given the large size of our venue, we are incredibly
versatile in the types of events we can host. Season and weather
permitting, our outdoor patio is always included in buyouts. The patio is a
beautiful get-away, with walls and table tops made from sections of a
WW11 B-17 Lancaster hanger from Fort Macleod. String lights, flowers
and greenery finish the appeal of this delightful outdoor space.
In keeping with our belief that food is best shared, we offer the following
two dining styles at Cibo. For groups of 20 or less, guests are welcome to
order off the menu or speak with our functions manager about arranging
a family-style menu.

Because of the distinctive nature of Cibo, Corporate Chef Glen Manzer creates a custom menu for
every event. In keeping with our belief that food is best shared, we offer the following two dining

Dinner | Sunday - Thursday $45 per person | Friday to Saturday $60 per person | Kids, $10 per child
Lunch | $30 per person, not including $11 antipasti | Kids, $10 per child
Inspired by dinner with nonna, this dining style features a large selection of dishes placed on the table
for every one to share. The absolute beauty of this menu is you are left completely in the hands of our
Corporate Chef Glen Manzer. Truly the meal of a lifetime, a family-style dinner at Cibo consists of
four multi-plate courses served over two to four hours. An antipasti selection is followed by a pasta
course, meat and vegetable course, and finally a dessert course. It’s a fun experience to learn about
the food and guests are always amazed by the abundance and quality of offerings!
Family style is all chef’s choice, courtesy of our Corporate Chef, Glen Manzer.
Grandioso
$69 per person
An incredible feast with something for everyone, this menu is offered for standing, cocktail-style
events. The magic of this style of dining is the flow and interaction between guests as they move
around the room, sampling delicious food from different stations.
An antipasti table features an incredible selection of around 20 hot and cold plates, with imported
and local meats and cheeses, and antipasti items like calamari with roasted peppers, capers, lamb
sausage, garlic, tomato and polenta bread.
At a one or two live pasta stations, cooks prepare pasta and risotto fresh and hot for guests, with one
meat, seafood and vegetarian selection. A carne station features a cook carving portions of either
beef, pork or lamb for guests — served with appropriate accompaniments.
Finally, a dessert table offers a beautiful spread of house-crafted desserts, with traditional favourites
and new creations from our bakery team — all served bite size for your convenience
