in the U.S. today began with our
naive acceptance of Trotsky's lying
propaganda, which he carried
around the world. Against it, Stalin
stood like a rock and moved neither
to the right nor to the left, as he
continued to advance towards real
Socialism instead of the sham that
Trotsky offered.
Three great decisions faced Stalin
in power and he met them
magnificently: First, the problem of
Joseph Stalin was a great man;
few other man of the 20th Century
approaches his stature. He was
simple, calm and courageous. He
seldom lost his poise; pondered his
problems slowly, made his decisions
clearly and firmly, never yielding to
ostentation or coyly refrained from
holding his rightful place with dignity.
He was the son of a serf, but stood
calmly before the great without
hesitation or nerves. But also - and
this was the highest proof of his
greatness - he knew the common
man, felt his problems, followed his
fate.
Stalin was not a man of
conventional learning; he was much
more than that: he was a man who
thought deeply, read understandingly
and listened to wisdom, no matter
whence it came. He was attacked
and slandered as few men of power
have been; yet he seldom lost his
courtesy and balance; nor did he let
attacks
drive
him
from
his
convictions nor induce him to
surrender positions, which he knew
were correct. As one of the despised
minorities of man, he first set Russia
on the road to conquer race
prejudice and make one nation out of
its 140 groups without destroying its
individuality.
His judgment of men was
profound. He early saw through the
flamboyance and exhibitionism of
Trotsky, who fooled the world, and
especially America. The whole illbred and insulting attitude of Liberals
the peasants; then he West
European attack, and then the
Second World War. The poor
Russian peasant was the lowest
victim of Tsarism, Capitalism and the
Orthodox Church. But the Russian
Kulaks the (big 'landowners) clung
tenaciously to capitalism and were
near
wrecking
the
Socialist
Revolution when Stalin risked a
second revolution and drove out
these rural bloodsuckers of the
Russian peasants.
Then
came
the
Foreign
Intervention; the continuing threat of
attacks by the Western nations - only
halted by the capitalist Great
Depression - only to be re-opened
by West supported Hitlerism. It was
Stalin who steered the Soviet Union
between Scylla and Charybdis:
Western Europe and the US were
willing to betray and sacrifice the
USSR to fascism, but then had to
beg the Soviet Union for aid in the
Second World War. A lesser man
than Stalin would have demanded
vengeance for the Munich accord,
but he had the wisdom to ask only
justice for his fatherland. This US
President Roosevelt granted, but
Winston Churchill of Britain held:
back. The British Empire proposed
first to save itself in Africa and
Southern
Europe, while Hitler
smashed the Soviet Union.
The opening of the Second Front
was being delayed by the West
purposely,
but Stalin
pressed
unfalteringly ahead. He risked the
ruin of Socialism in the USSR in
order to smash Hitler's
and
Mussolini's fascism. After Stalingrad
and the rout of German Nazis, the
Western World's leadership did not
know whether to weep or applaud.
The cost of victory of the Soviet
Union was frightful. To this day the
outside world has no idea of the
tragedy, the devastation, the loss
and sacrifices. For Stalin's calm,
stern leadership in the USR and over
the world, arises a deep worship of
Stalin by the people.
Then came the problem of Peace.
Hard as this was to Europe, it was
immensely harder to Stalin and the
Soviets. The rulers of the world
hated /feared the USSR and Stalin
and would have been only too willing
to see the utter defeat and failure of
this attempt to build Socialism in the
USSR. But the fear of Japan's
ambitions in the East where the East
and Asia, where they were in control
of the colonies. Diplomacy took hold
and Stalin was picked as the victim.
He was called to a Conference by
Churchill and Roosevelt, with British
Imperialism represented by its
trained and well-fed aristocracy; and
with the vast wealth and potential
power of America, represented by its
leader Roosevelt.
Here Stalin showed his real
greatness! He never cringed nor
strutted and he never surrendered.
He gained the friendship of
Roosevelt and the respect of
Churchill. He asked neither adulation
nor vengeance. He was reasonable
and conciliatory. But on what he
deemed essential, he was inflexible.
He was willing to resurrect the
League of Nations, which had
insulted the USSR. He was willing to
offer the might of the Red Army to
fight Japan, even though Japan was
no menace to the Soviet Union, but
might be death to the British Empire
and to American economic trade. But
on two points Stalin was adamant.
The territory that was stolen from the
USSR must be returned to the
Soviets, whence it had been stolen
as a threat. The Balkans was not to
be left helpless before Western
exploitation for the benefit of land
monopoly.
The
workers
and
peasants there must have their say
as to their future.
Such was Stalin the man who now
lies dead. But still the butt of noisy
jackals and of the ill-bred men of
some parts of the distempered West
In his entire life J.V. Stalin
suffered continues and studied
insults: he was forced to make bitter
decisions on his own responsibility.
His reward comes as the
common man strands on solemn
acclaim before a Great Teacher J.V. Stalin.

Stalin without a doubt played one
of the most important historical roles
in the fight against Nazism and
Fascism, as well as for freedom of all
nations in the world. In this respect,
Stalin was and is a historical figure.

Russian bourgeois class already
fear this decision by the Moscow City
Council and don't know what to do!
This is as it should be! Yes, be
afraid of the image of Stalin and his
portraits that will be all over Moscow
and also carried by the Soviet
people!
Let Stalin be an eternal reminder to
all Nazis and Fascists and enemy
collaborators as to what will befall all
of them if they again start a war or
betray their own people, as they did
in 1941!
On March 5, 1953, the working
class of all countries on the earth
were deeply moved and wept at the
great loss of the leader of the
working class of the world.
Everlasting honor and glory to
comrade J.V. Stalin!
Now, just 57 years ago, all sincere
Communists, Revolutionaries and
Marxists-Leninist who are dedicated
to liberate the working class from
capitalism and imperialism and for a
socialist revolution, are drying their
tears of sorrow as they recall this
extraordinary man, leader, liberator
of peoples from slavery and the
builder of the first Socialist State in
the word, and, his leadership saved
the world from the black plague of
fascism.
After 57 years from his death the
building of Socialism was tragically
temporarily
interrupted
by the
internal enemies of socialism, by
these
reformists,
revisionists,
opportunists who sold themselves to
the class enemy.
The revolutionary life of Stalin has
gone through the whole historical
course that led to the defeat of
capitalism and the victory of
Socialism in Russia with the October
Revolution in 1917.
On Stalin fell the great task of
inheriting the complete work of
Lenin, and he did it with great
capacity and commitment of building
Socialism in the USSR. Under his
leadership the CPSU was able to
isolate and defeat Trotsky, Bukharin,
Zinoviev and many others who were
supported by Western powers in
order to try and defeat the building of
Socialism in the Soviet Union.
His dedication, his perseverance
and firmness in building socialism
against all odds - both internal and
external - caused heaping of slander
and vilification against him and this
caused the Party to take the
absolutely the necessary step to
neutralize these internal enemies
who were sabotaging the building of
Socialism in the USSR.
Unfortunately
these
internal
enemies gained the upper hand after
Stalin's death in 1953. A the 20th
Congress of the CPSU, the
Trotskyist Nikita Krushchev started
the process to stop the building of
Socialism and there took place the
tragic return to capitalism in 1990.
This was the temporary defeat of
Socialism, but it was not a failure of
Socialism as these revisionists and
enemies of Socialism now trumpet to
the world.
On the occasion of the 57th
Anniversary of Stain's death, it is a
duty of every fighter for Socialism to
remember him and his struggles for
the emancipation of all of mankind
from exploitation and the building of
a Socialist Society all over the world.
Future struggles for Socialism
must take into account the journey
followed by the Soviet Union and the
path shown by the Great Stalin - the
dedicated follower of Lenin and the
builder of the First Socialist State in
the world. It was Generalassimo
Stalin who guided the Soviet people
in the defeat of Nazi Germany.
Tanks a lot...
Moscow, March 1, 2010 (Reuters)
About 100 modern Russian Tanks
have been discovered abandoned on
the side of the road in the Ural
Mountains as
video
footage
showed on a Website March 2 of
this year.
The video clips from the E1-ru
website were rebroadcast on the
Russian TV channels and showed
local people clambering all over
these unguarded T-80 Tanks that
were parked in long rows in
Kaminshlovsk, about 190 km from
the Ural city of Yaketerinburg.
The Russian Defense Ministry did
not comment, and as a matter of
fact, they were not even aware that
these 100 tanks were missing! Now
the Russian prosecutors are probing
how these Tanks, Russia's main
battle tank, came to be left in such a
situation - as reported by the news
agency RIA.

Sergey Pchelintsev
Deprived of His Three
Children for Being
Poor

On February,12Z officiate ot a
number of city executive authority
bodies at once have come to the room
where the Dzerzhinsk city inhabitant
Sergey Pchelintsev's family lived - of
the
Dzerzhinsk
administration
Tutorship and Curatorship department,
of the local Internal Affairs Department
Minor Commission and of the Social
Protection Administration. They have
even taken local TV employees with
them.
Zealous child-protectors have
arranged a demonstrative taking-off of
three small children: Maksim, born in
2006, Anna, born in 2007, and tiny
Dasha, born in Autumn 2009, from
Pchelintsev and his spouse Lidia
Buzanova. Contrary to requirements of
the Article 77 of the Family Code of
RF, the authority representatives
performed taking-off the children
without presenting a relevant city
administration's act to their parents.
If you think that, according to family
legislation,
officials
have
saved
children having found themselves in an
extreme situation - in a nest of
alcoholics
or
drug-consumers,
mentally disabled or simply indifferent
to their children's fate parents - you
are completely mistaken.
Sergey and
Lidia
lead
an
absolutely normal, sober, healthy life.
They love their children and take care
of them. They found themselves guilty
only because they bacame a large
family in our Motherland. While taking
off the children, the officials flung off
cynically: "It is tidy in your room but too
POOR".
Indeed, Sergey does his best to
support his large family. Isn't it notable
that they live in Russian province
where low income is common for most
population even having a job?
Pchelintsev's average month income is
10-11 thousand roubles, that is hardly
sufficient for a family of five. His wife
has to sit with babies - the eldest child
is only three years old, even not
speaking about necessity to take care
of her newborn daughter. By Sergey's
words, his retired mother sometimes
arrives and helps his wife. Sergey and
Lidia have no other close relatives.
However,
while
pursuing
children's
rights
and
interests
compliance, the authorities did not
make any effort to find out reasons of
the very poverty they had charged
Pchelintsev and Buzanova of, having
arranged an act of lawlessness. If
applied to the tax office where Sergey
files his income-tax return regularly,
they would have understood the very
sum the housefather could earn his
honest penny. The officials did not
offer Pchelintsev any high-paid job
and, certainly, won't offer. Normally,
this family should have enjoyed all
measures of state support. Anyway, it
is so the Russian Constitution
principles declare. The Constitution of
RF in its Article 19 has assigned the
principle of equality of human and civil
rights and freedoms notwithstanding
his/her
material
position;
any
discrimination on criteria of social
belonging is prohibited. The Article 39
part 1 of the Constitution of RF
guarantees social security for bringing
up children and in other cases
prescribed by law, to everybody. The
essence of this civil right is concluded
in guarantee from the state's part and
rendering assistance in the view of
birth and bringing up of children.
But it is characteristic that this
low-income large family does not
receive ANY welfare prescribed by
regulatory act, including those by
federal privileges for families becoming
large. By Sergey's words, they are
denied even rendering free infant food
for the newborn child. Such position of
the Dzerzhinsk Social protection
administration is explained by its
employees to Pchelintsev with absurd
reasons of all kinds. Perhaps, Sergey
was not persistent enough demanding
the prescribed benefits.
But a
prospective of camping on judicial and
official doorsteps does not seem
brilliant if it is necessary to earn one's
living
every
day.
But,
while
demonstrating "protection" of babies
which took place on February 12, the
social employee was already there.
All the state's assistance to this family
was - an individual room alloted to the
family. A single one for all them, and,
by Sergey's words, a "second-hand"
one. I.e., far from condition of
complete renovation. This notable
event has happened literally a month
age. Today, having visited the
tutorship department, the procesutor
office and a lot of other instances,
Sergey has heard much interesting
among all - officials' explanations that
he had had to make cosmetic repairs
of his rendered room. Because small
children should not live in such room
as the state had alloted to him.
It is clear that officials have to
report on the work they conducted
during the "Year of Family" or any next
program for maternity and childhood
protection announced from the topdown. Let us leave "offscreen" the
question where the budget funds
alloted to these very programs go theses very funds seem to be located
"offscreen", too. It is much more simple
to fill orphanages with new pupils and
baby-houses with a next baby torn-off
from mother's and father's love and
care; it is quite clear that hired nurses
are not able to replace parents.
However, Mssrs officials would never
apply to their own children the destiny
prepared by them to three-year-old
Maksim,
two-year-old Anya and
newborn Dasha. They have different
mentality.
Certainly, a natural question arises
- why was it Pchelintsev's family which
was chosen for these "reports"?
Indeed, it was not casual. Sergey
Pchelintsev is a political activist, he
has left views but does not belong to
any parties.
In November and
December 2009 he spoke several
times at picket lines which took place
in Dzerzhinsk. He spoke on what he
had come upon himself every day - on
unemployment, poverty and on illegal
fires of Nizhny Novgorod automobile
plant GAZ workers and on rapacious
pension
reforms.
After
those
speeches,
in
last
December,
Pchelintsev was invited to the Nizhny
Novgorod region "E" center (the
Department for fighting extremism). As
Sergey told, during the conversation
the officers, threatened him with
outrage, offered him to "work" as a
non-staff intelligence , demanded that
he stop speaking at any civil actions.
Among other threats, a promise
sounded to create problems to his
family.
After this conversation Pchelintsev
composed a hand-written complaint
and brought it to the leadership of the
regional Internal Affairs department.
As is evident, the response on his
complaint was not long in coming.
Nowadays
Pchelintsev's
and
Buzanova's children are in the city
children's hospital. And although the
law does not contain any prohibition
for parents' meetings with taken-off
children until they are deprived or
limited in their parental rights, Sergey
and Lidia are not allowed to see their
children. Within 7 days after taking-off
children from the family, the tutorship
authorities are obliged to sue at the
court for deprivation or limitation of
parental rights for taken-off children.
Today Pchelintsev was orally
advised to prepare for such trial
proceedings.
Moreover,
by
the
officials' words he understood that the
proceedings result was already wellknown: Pchelintsev and Buzanova
would be limited in their parental rights
for all their children. And later they
would be deprived of parental rights if
they don't make the room repair and
don't buy extra toys, books, an infant
bed and infant food within 1 month. It
is notable that the family law
prescribes a term of half a year for
such "elimination of disadvantages".
It is probable, too, that because of
"telephone justice" which "offended" by
Sergey's complaint law-enforcement
servicemen may resort to, Pchelintsev
and Buzanova would not be allowed to
use this last opportunity to return their
children.
It is worthy of note that each child
has a right to live and to be brought up
in the family, a right to know his
parents, a right for their care, a right
for living together with them. A child
has the rights for bringing up by his/her
parents, guarantee of his and her
interests,
comprehensive
development, respect to his/her human
dignity (Article 54 of the Family Code
of RF).
According to the Article 27 part 3 of
the UN Convention on the Rights of
the Child all the participating states
(including Russia), according to their
national
conditions
within
their
opportunities,
take
necessary
measures for rendering assistance to
parents and other persons bringing up
children in realization of this right and,
if
necessary,
render
material
assistance and support programs, first
of all concerning
guarantee of
nutrition, clothes and housing.
The next family would suffer of
ubiquitous Russian lawlessness if civil
and human rights activists, mass
media representatives and, in general,
all indifferent to someone else's
troubles citizens don't interfere into the
situation.
Pchelintsev's family needs urgent
information
and
legal
support,
expression of social protest against
illegal and inhuman actions of
Dzerzhinsk
"child-protectors",
and
material assistance.

Nicolas
Sarkozy traveled for a one-day visit
to Haiti on February 17, amid rising
popular opposition to the Westernbacked Preval government and
international tensions over how to
rebuild the country. The US military
occupied Haiti after the devastating
January 12 earthquake that killed
over 200,000 people, wounded over
250,000, and destroyed much of the
country's infrastructure.
Sarkozy, the first French head of
state ever to visit Haiti, was greeted
with street protests by thousands of
Haitians demanding the return of
elected President Jean-Bertrand
Aristide. Ousted by a US- and
French-backed coup in 2004,
Aristide was exiled to the Central
African Republic, a former French
colony. President Rene Preval, a
former prime minister under Aristide
in the 1990s, came to power in 2006
in elections supervised by the
provisional government of Boniface
Alexandre that was installed by the
coup.
Preval tried to address the crowd
outside the presidential palace.
However, crowds shouted him down,
and Preval left in a luxury Jeep,
surrounded by bodyguards.
Protesters held
pictures of
Aristide aloft and demanded that
Sarkozy repay $21 billion paid to
France by Haiti, a former French
slave colony. In 1825 warships under
the orders of France's King Charles
X—soon to be toppled by the 1830
revolution—forced Haiti to repay 90
million gold francs in exchange for its
freedom. But the Haitian slaves
freed themselves in an armed
uprising against their French Slave
owners in 1794. Haiti then fought off
an attempt to restore slavery by
armies under Napoleons command
and subsequently declared its
independence in 1804.
The ransom paid to Charles X,
the equivalent of $21.7 billion today,
devastated Haiti's economy and took
122 years to repay. In comparison, it
is estimated that the post-earthquake
reconstruction of Haiti will cost $14
billion—which is also less than the
cost of one year of the upper-class
tax cut Sarkozy pushed through
upon coming to office in 2007.
Sarkozy's visit came amid steps
to transform Haiti into a military
dictatorship jointly run with foreign
occupation forces and aid agencies.
Haiti's
legislative
elections,
previously scheduled for February
28-March 3, have been indefinitely
postponed.
The US in particular is preparing
to take over the Haitian government.
On February 11 the Miami Herald
reported
that the
US
State
Department had presented top
Haitian officials with plans for an
Interim Haiti Recovery Commission
in early February. The Herald, which
had seen a copy of the plan, noted
the commission's "top priority" is to
"create a Haitian Development
Authority to plan and coordinate
billions in foreign assistance for at
least 10 years."
The Herald wrote that the
commission would be co-chaired by
the Haitian prime minister and "a
distinguished senior international
figure engaged in the recovery
effort." The Herald suggested that
this figure would probably be former
President Bill Clinton, a recent US
Trinity Washington University
professor Robert Maguire, who
spoke positively about the plan, told
the Herald it sounded "similar to an
idea that Hillary Clinton was
considering
long
before
the
earthquake."
The US plan has provoked
opposition from capitalist powers
who do not want such an obvious US
role in reconstruction plans. The
Canadian government is considering
a plan to funnel aid into a trust fund
that would be overseen by the World
Bank.
US economist Jeffrey Sachs, who
has devised a similar plan involving
the Inter-American Development
Bank, criticized the US State
Department plan: "We should not
see this as a US political effort but a
multilateral one." Arguing that
responsibility for reconstruction plans
should fall to the Haitian government
alone, Sachs said a reconstruction
agency "shouldn't have a mixed
membership
of
the
[Haitian]
president and international figures."
Initial details of what such
"reconstruction" plans entail emerged
after a January 25 conference in
Montreal. They involve using a subminimum wage passed by Preval for
the garment industry ($2.98 per day)
to turn Haiti into a super-exploited
export-processing zone. In a UN
report, Paul Collier of Britain's Oxford
University wrote: "Due to its poverty
and relatively unregulated labor
market, Haiti has labor costs that are
fully competitive with China, which is
the global benchmark."
Sarkozy arrived in Haiti amidst
speculation that his visit reflected
growing divisions between Paris and
Washington on how to proceed.
Sarkozy arrived at Port-au-Prince
airport, took a brief helicopter tour of
the worst damaged areas of the city,
and gave a press conference with
Preval.
Sarkozy's performance was a
mixture of cynicism and imperialist
arrogance. Speaking to the puppet
government of a US-occupied
country, he said: "The people of Haiti
are standing up! ... Mr. President, Mr.
Prime Minister, Ministers, you must
set the conditions for a national
consensus on which to base a
national project that will belong to
you. Haiti for the Haitians."
He announced an aid package of
€326 million ($447 million), including
€56 million for repaying Haiti's
currently outstanding debts to
France. Even though this sum is all
out of proportion to the vast cost of
rebuilding Haiti, Sarkozy lectured: "If
I may say so, Mr. President, please
do not rebuild the way it was before."
After admonishing the Preval
regime that "Wealth must profit for
everyone,"
Sarkozy
made
a
remarkable admission: "In my
country as in yours, the question of
the extreme concentration of wealth
in the hands of small number of
people is a problem."

Sarkozy failed to mention that
after his ouster in 1986, dictator
Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier
fled to France, where he lived a life
of luxury despite never formally
receiving political asylum. In 1998
the French government refused to
act on a lawsuit demanding that
France expel Duvalier as an illegal
immigrant.
Sarkozy continued,
"As for
rivalries between the countries that
are friends of Haiti ... there will be
none. The Americans have done
good work. They have a million
Haitian [immigrants] and they are
900 km away, and I will not reproach
anyone for not doing enough.
Afterwards, in any emergency
situation one can do things more or
less well, provoke small tensions. It's
not serious compared to the
essential—which is that Americans,
Englishmen, Brazilians, Canadians,
and everyone else, we continue to
work hand-in-hand to help you."
As he pushes for a new round of

on social assistance and kill the
emergence of a private sector."
After Sarkozy had spoken, Preval
took questions on the holding of
future elections. He said the
government faced difficulties in

The Second Haifa
Conference

Aggressive military
build-up by China and
India on the border
India is countering the increasingly
aggressive build-up of Chinese

Divisions of over 1,260 officers and
35,011 soldiers. Besides all of this
build up, India is developing artillery
brigades, air squadrons and 5,000
ballistic missiles pointing at China. It
will also launch an intelligence
satellite over China to pick up

This is being done to counter the

North Korea orders

The need and the experience is the
basis for the evolution of the human
species. For our species, the need
was in the process of mutation, all
the organisms in life have needs,
that is the power of life, and all the
species.
The need had developed the brain
for the human species, when we had
more developed from the animal to
the human condition. The human
species today has more complex
needs, we have personal needs, we
can
name
these
needs
as
personality needs.
All people need to food, water, light
etc. But there do not exist only life
needs, there exist needs for the soul,
behavior of others, complacence,
communication from the emotions of
others. These needs can be more
important today by life needs. What
is one essential need, what is the
need for the sphere of personality?
The basis for life is the needs and
experience that is the law for all
organisms. Dialectics says that
everything in the universe changes,
and that the contradictions in one
phenomenon come to synthesis. But
how can one explain that the needs
and experience cannot synthesize on
one new phenomenon.
For this answer I propose the
proportionality
materialism,
this
thought is the product of one long
time of study and work. This shade
of dialectical materialism proposes
one new concept of thought inside
the materialism to induce for one
concept of the individual person.
The motive of this thought is the
contradiction not only in one
category of life phenomenon, it is
focalized to individual phenomenon
in life and its relation with other
phenomena. In all these phenomena
there is one proportionality relation,
this relation may have more factors,
but this phenomenon changes in the
form. All induce to thought that the
need is one indissoluble category.
For the human species, not only is
the economy the big problem, the
truth is is that it is the biggest but not
the only one. The culture and
thought of the people have one
important motive. But what is the
relation between economy, culture
and thought? This is the proportional
relation
inside
the
individual
movement of the image of reality.
One example:

The problem is not how can be the
reality, the problem is how one
person can see the reality. One

One of the most celebrated pianist
of our time recently carried out an
unexpected and courageous act of
political activism - timeless act of
courage.
Before performing the final piece
of his recital at Disney Hall in Los
Angeles,
the
Polish
pianist
addressed the audience, saying; I
will no longer play in the U.S. whose
military wants to control the whole
world."
Zimmerman also mentioned the
Guantanamo
Bay
prison
and
expressed outrage against the US
military and political domination over
Poland with these words: " Get your
hands off my country!
After his remarks, a few people in
the audience walked out, some even
shouting obscenities at Zimmerman,
he replied: " Yes, some people when
they hear the word military, start
marching!"
But a majority of the audience,
cheered Zimmerman, who then
finished
his
program,
playing
Szymanovski's "Variations on the
Polish Folk Theme. According to a
music critic in Los Angeles,
Zimmerman played this last piece

with such astonishing ferocity that it
brought the audience to its feet and
to a tumultuous cheers.
Yes this was a timeless act of
courage in the Belly of the Beast!
For Solidarity with
Kurdish Nation Against
International Attacks
On March 4, 2010 the Belgian
State raided the Kurdish Institutions
and homes and arrested 5 Kurdish
patriots and their RojTV and 8
people were imprisoned, amongst
them Kongra-Gel president Remzi
Krtal and Zubeyir Aydar, member of
the Council. After that, an operation
concerning PJAK in Germany and
another raid was carried out in
France.
These
raids
were
coordinated agencies determined to
liquidate the struggles of the Kurdish
people.
There are more than 900 Kurdish
politicians, and Kurdish children
with prison sentences and other
harassment tactics against the
Kurdish people.
Turkish colonial fascism and the
imperialist forces continue with their
annihilation and denial politics by
mass detentions. The planned
cooperation with US Imperialism to
have Turkish and Kurdish young
men sent to Afghanistan to help US
imperialism in their war efforts to
subjugate the Afghanis people.
The Kurdish people have shown
many times that they will not give up
their
struggles
because
of
oppression and tyranny. They will
overcome these attacks with their
determination for freedom.
Our MLCP party declares its
solidarity with all of the imprisoned
Kurdish people and with the Kurdish
national freedom struggles. We call
on all progressive, revolutionary and
communist organizations to be in
solidarity and organize solidarity
actions with the Kurdish people
against the liquidating attacks of the
Belgian and EU states, the US
imperialists,
reactionary regional
states and Turkish colonial fascism!
US Doctors leave
Haiti as Cuban
Doctors expand
care

With thousands
still in critical
need of medical care, the U.S.
government is pulling out the doctors
it is responsible for. Meanwhile, the
Cuban government is expanding its
medical mission to Haiti and urging
all other countries to join in. On
February 24 the last U.S. field
hospital in Haiti closed. The USNS
Comfort, the much-publicized Navy
medical ship docked in Haiti also left.
An article in the Wall Street
Journal noted that an estimated 30
per cent of those who had
emergency surgery done since the
earthquake, will need to have more
operations: "New cases of diarrhea,
malaria and other diseases are
pocking up and communities
crammed with tens of thousands
people who lost their homes". The
dangers will mount as the rainy
season produces major flooding.
Although he U.S. doctors have
left, the Cuban doctors are digging in
for the long battle that lies ahead.
" The major battle lies ahead, when
the world press headlines have
abandoned Haiti, the moment of
emergency is over and the threat of
so-called mass immigration is
diminishing. Haiti does not need a
fleeting and sudden gesture of
charity. It requires and deserves a
major international effort for its
reconstruction", said President Raul
Castro at the Summit of Latin
American countries in Mexico last
February 23, 2010.
President Castro also reported that
the Cuban medical mission in Haiti
has grown to about 1,430 medical
personnel and is working all across
Haiti.
COMMENT: Why is this great
humanitarian effort by Cuba not
making the news in the capitalist
daily media? We all know
the answer.

organizers of WWO also proved a year of changes in the

TO THE EDITORS OF THE NEW
YORK TIMES:
Among the most disturbing
political phenomena of our times is
the emergence in the newly created
state of Israel of the "Freedom
Party" (Tnuat Haherut), a political
party closely akin in its organization,
methods, political philosophy and
social appeal to the Nazi and
Fascist parties. It was formed out of
the membership and following of the
former Irgun Zvai Leumi, a terrorist,
right-wing, chauvinist organization in
Palestine.
The current visit of Menachem
Begin, leader of this party, to the
United
States
is
obviously
calculated to give the irrtDression nf
American support for his party in the
coming Israeli elections, and to
cement
political
ties
with
conservative Zionist elements in the
United States. Several Americans of
national repute have lent their
names to welcome his visit. It is
inconceivable that those who
oppose fascism throughout the
world, if correctly informed as to Mr.
Begin's
political
record
and
perspectives, could add their names
and support to the movement he
represents'.
Before irreparable damage is
done
by
way
of
financial
contributions, public manifestations
in Begin's behalf, and the creation in
Palestine of the impression that a
large segment of America supports
Fascist elements in Israel, the
American public must be informed
as to the record and objectives of
Mr. Begin and his movement.
The public vows of Begin's
party are no guide whatever to its
actual character. Today they speak
of freedom, democracy and antiimperialism, whereas until recently
they openly preached the doctrine
of the Fascist state. It is in its
actions that the terrorist party
betrays its real character; from its
past actions we can judge what it
may be expected to do in the future.
Within the Jewish community
they have preached an admixture of
ultranationalism,
religious
mysticism, and racial superiority.
Like other Fascist parties they have
been used to break strikes, and
have themselves pressed for the
destruction of free trade unions. In
their stead they have proposed
corporate unions on the Italian
Fascist model. During the last years
of sporadic anti-British violence, the

Fascist compatriots.
The discrepancies between the
bold claims now being made by
Begin and his party, and their record
of past performance in Palestine
bear the imprint of no ordinary
political
party.
This
is
the
unmistakable stamp of a Fascist
party.

Whats In a Word?
From COLONIALISM to
OVERTHROW

Remembering back to my school
days in fifth grade, the American
history social studies curriculum
began with the story of the Seven
Native American Indian Nations.
Next we studied the Colonial Period,
that part of US history where
European countries first established
their colonies in New England (USA).
I recall how proud I was to learn that
the state I was born in was one of
the
"thirteen original colonies".
Imagine what these words meant to
the innocent, formative mind of a
child! "Original" we were the first!
But the raw truth of colonialism was
never
presented or explained to
us ten years old students; that
establishing a colony in New
England
was
the
invasion,
displacement, and eventual takeover of the homeland that was
inhabited
by Native American
Indians, for many hundreds of years.
(It is documented that indigenous
Indians of Central America have a
history of established civilization
dating back to 600,000 years
(National Geographic) and they
existed without capitalism! Hawaii,
since its volcanic emergence from
the ocean five million years ago,
established a tribal land-based
culture and existed also without
capitalism.
What motivates a strong nation to
attack weaker nations? Answer: to
impose its ideology, increase its
power, and control natural resources.
How is this achieved? During
colonial times the Mother country
displaced the natives, occupied their
territory and dominated everything.
But for the past 100 plus years
"United States has extended its
global reach" and has employed
"the most direct form of American
intervention:" the overthrow of
foreign governments." Author Kinzer
focuses on the fourteen most
extreme cases in which the US
arranged and deposed fourteen
leaders during the past century.
This new approach to power and
control on foreign shores where the
US was the decisive power in
depriving a regime first began in
1893 in Hawaii. Queen Lilireohalani
was attempting to maintain the rule
of Hawaii in the hands of the native
Hawaiians rather than in the hands
of white business money and sugar
plantation elites. She proclaimed a
new Constitution to this effect.
However, with the threat of the ship
Boston, a 3,000 ton American gunboat anchored near the Pearl
Harbor, and the presence of
American soldiers ashore, the Queen
of Hawaii was forced to surrender,
but was not abdicating, making it
clear that she was "stepping down
under pressure from America."
On January 17, 1893, Lorrin
Thurson, a US lawyer and an antiroyalist plotter, along with John L.
Stevens, the American Minister to
Hawaiian Monarchy, without any
official orders from Washington, DC
deposed the Hawaiian monarchy
This was the first direct American
overthrow of a foreign government.
Various techniques were used by
the United Stats to overthrow
governments for the past 110 years.
One
phrase
can
change
everything. In the 1840's territorial
expansion went beyond the borders
of North America, driven by the
concept that the US had a "manifest
destiny" to occupy land beyond the
boundaries of the US. The power of
these two words - manifest destiny
- gave fuel to America to engage in
land grabs that ultimately resulted in
regime changes. It's promoted
popularity contributed to the idea that
the US had "the right" to practice its
"manifest destiny."
Today an interesting parallel can
be made by the use of ONE word in
the attempt to justify the regime
change of any other country. This
21st Century word, already used by
United S States v/s ``TERRORISM".
Target any country, falsify or be
instrumental in provoking a situation,
label this incident as an act of
"terrorism", then proceed to invade
and overthrow the government and
then occupy the country!
We are all familiar with the popular
sales pitch " bait and switch". It's
when you agree to one thing but you
end up with another. This is what
happened to Cuba in 1898.
For 300 years, Cuba was part of
the Spanish Empire. Many attempts
were made by Cuban patriots and
many lives were lost in an attempt
gain independence from Spain. After
30-year intense struggles between
Spain and Cuba, Cuba entered into
the Teller Agreement with the US.
US agree to help Cuba become
independent from Spain, pledging
that the "US hereby disclaim any
disposition or action to exercise
sovereignty, jurisdiction, or control
over Cuba."
US Congress proceeded to
declare war on Spain (the SpanishAmerica War) that ended the 300
years of Spanish domination over
Cuba. But the US General John
Brooke did not recognize the Cuban
Rebel Army that fight against Spain
and he then disbanded it.
US had their eye on Cuba and
would not abide by the Teller
Agreement. History has shown that
the only reason that the US went to
war against Spain was to replace
Spain's control over Cuba so that
USA itself would control Cuba! No
one had thought that American
intervention would become military
occupation, but this is exactly what
happened.
After World War II, the world
political situation changed, becoming
more complex. It was harder for US
imperialism to instigate changes,
regime changes and to start regime
changes,
since
Third
World
Countries were rebelling against
their foreign masters an fighting for
independence. The USSR was there

to take up the cause of liberation
struggles.
US Imperialism changed tactics
and used subtle techniques arranged coup d'etat to overthrow
leaders that US imperialism did not
want - arranged assassinations,
used spies, organized internal,
protests trying always to be seen as
just onlookers and not the culprits. In
Iran, Guatemala, South Vietnam and
Chile, US diplomats and intelligence
agents replaced generals as the
instrument of American intervention.
But with the temporary break-up of
the Soviet Union and the collapse of
the Soviet Red Army, US Imperialism
again went on the offensive with a
vengeance. Again US troops and
US bases are scattered all, over
the world and Afghanistan and Iraq
wars are ongoing and the killing
fields of people, soldiers and ruins.
Yes, there were no Weapons of
Mass Destruction" - but the hunt for
terrorists is ongoing all over the
world.
Humanity should look closer to
Washington and the Pentagon!
EDITOR.
Most "regime changes" operations
have achieved their short-term goals.
However, it is absolutely clear that
most of these operations actually
weakened America's security!
Whole regions of the world have
been cast into turmoil and upheaval,
creating violent clashes, untold
suffering and pockets of instability.
These are the consequences of the
many United States actions.
More than any country in the
world, the United States has brought
and continues to bring mass
destructions to the world order
through its arrogance, greed, and
lack of prudence.

Celebration held by
Toronto CFSP
Members and friends gathered on
March 7 at the Frendship House in
Toronto to celebrate this important
date in the history of the women's
movement all over the world.
The meeting hall was decorated
with posters, photo exhibits of the
struggles of women and the success
that were Achieved under Socialism
in the USSR.
Michael Lucas opened up the
proceedings and introduced the
speaker, Heidi Trampus who gave a
very interesting historical sketch of
International Women's Day to great
aplause of the audience.
Frank Trampus, Chairperson of
the Toronto Branch of the CFSP
introduced Barry Zwicker, the wellknown
writer,
publisher,
TV
personality- and author of books on
9/11 who spoke on the Invisible
Government
and
the
present
situation in the world.
There were greetings read from
the Soviet Friendship Society with
Foreign Countries, Working Women
Organization of Pakistan - Nina
Andreeva, General Secretary of the
All Union Communist Party of

newspapers, leaflets and brochures
from the progressive movements and
Communist parties.
There were read many greetings
to Michael Lucas on his 84th Birthday
and everyone stood up to sing him
Happy Birthday.
The history of the International
Women's Day by Heidi Trampus
was very informative since it
showed the struggles that were
waged and that are still waged now.

of information about the Invisible
