Wall Stone: Larger, blocky pieces of stone used
for exterior free-standing walls. When installed, the
stone will exhibit both seam and split faces. Wall
stone is often blended with other products for ease
of installation and/or a custom look.
Cottage Wall Stone: Smaller pieces of wall stone
with median heights and depths packaged with
versatility and ease of handling in mind. Often
blended with thin wall for ease of installation and
a custom look.
Thin Wall Stone: Thinner, smaller pieces of stone
with depths typically less than that of other wall
stones. Ideal for low exterior walls. Often blended
with other products for ease of installation and a
unique finished appearance.
Irregular Flagging: Generally used for limited foot
traffic areas such as patios, walkways, and around
pools. Flagging stone is irregular (mosaic) in shape
and exhibits the seam face of the stone.
Garden Steppers: Thicker than irregular flagging
and featuring larger facing areas, garden steppers
may be used in areas of limited vehicle traffic and/
or heavy foot traffic.
Step Slab Material: Used extensively in the
creation of parks, steps, and waterscapes, step

Wallstone Material Needs Calculation:
Landscaping Stone Packaging:
To calculate the estimated number of tons
of stone required for your wall stone project,
measure the length, height, and depth of
your planned wall in feet, rounding up to the
nearest foot. Multiply these measurements
together to obtain the cubic feet of stone
required, then multiply this result by .07.
The resultant number is a great starting point,
but an estimate only. Your actual coverage will
vary based upon the type of stone selected,
installation style, skill level, and overall job
conditions.
