WOMEN'S DAY SERVICES AT MOUNT LEVEL
Women's Day Services will be held it Mount Level
Baptist Church on Sunday February 25 at 11 ajn. Dr:J
Pricill A. Brodie of Franklinton will be the speaker for
the services. Dr. Franklin is die Executive Secretary of
the Women's Baptist Home and Foreign Missionary Convention of North Carolina. Prior to the acceptance of the
Executive secretary position Dr. Brodie was an assistant
professor of Christian Education at the Shaw University
Divinity School.
Music will be provided by the women members of
Mount . Level Baptist Church. Mrs. J.P. White organist
and Mrs. Bumell Phillips, Director. The Reverend C.L
Dunston is Pastor.

THE DURHAM COUNTY MISSIONARY UNION
The Durham County Missionary Union will honor
Mrs1 Wilmi Milum on February 25 at 3 pjn. af the Union
Baptist Church where Rev. dady Davis is the pastor. She
is a member of this church and Union Baptist. She Is
member of the Decon Board, she sings in the senior
choir, is president of the Missionary Circle, pastor's aid,
and the senior citizens Sunday school - class, and also a
member of one of the prayer chapters of the Durham
County Missionary Union. Ms. Rosetta Webb is the chairperson of this program. President, Sister Willie Sneed,
Secretary, Sister Lyda Vanhook.

C EVANS MISSIONARY SOCIETY HOLDS
MISSIONS WITH LOVE BREAKFAST
The Mary C. Evans Missionary Society of St. Joseph's
AME. Church held its first annual Missions with Love
Breakfast on Saturday morning, February 17. Presiding was
Mrs. Willia Lewis.
Missionaries from many churches were in attendance.
Mrs. Jeanne Lucas, speaker for the occasion, highlighted
the importance of missions with love to all. Many
challenges were presented to those who attended with the
focal emphasis being, "If You Don't have Anything to
Give, You can give Love."
The Purpose of the breakfast was to celebrate both
Black History Month and Valentine's Day. Theme of the
occasion was "Together with Love Missions Can Happen.
The program included music by Misses Hattie Tyson
and Stephanie Watson, students at North Carolina
Central University; "A Negro Love Song", poetry by Paul
Lawrence Dunbar, rendered by Mrs. Annette Bryant; and
musical selections by Mrs. Brenda B. Lovely. Music and
group singing were also a part of the breakfast program.
Presentations of gifts of love were presented to
Willia George and Beulah Hill.
A special guest was Mrs. Vera Richmond Edwards,
Chairman of the Minnie Pearson Area of the Western,

Conference.
Mrs. Willia George serves as president of the Mary C.
Evans Missionary Society. A special thanks and appreciation to all who attened was given by Mrs. George
