Church held its first annual Missions with Love Breakfast on Saturday morning, February 17. Presiding was Mrs. Willia Lewis. Missionaries from many churches were in attendance. Mrs. Jeanne Lucas, speaker for the occasion, highlighted the importance of missions with love to all. Many challenges were presented to those who attended with the focal emphasis being, "If You Don't have Anything to Give, You can give Love." The Purpose of the breakfast was to celebrate both Black History Month and Valentine's Day. Theme of the occasion was "Together with Love Missions Can Happen. The program included music by Misses Hattie Tyson and Stephanie Watson, students at North Carolina Central University; "A Negro Love Song", poetry by Paul Lawrence Dunbar, rendered by Mrs. Annette Bryant; and musical selections by Mrs. Brenda B. Lovely. Music and group singing were also a part of the breakfast program. Presentations of gifts of love were presented to Willia George and Beulah Hill.
