Setting Internet Explorer Browser Options for IFAS 7i

Start Internet Explorer and click on Tools>Internet Options:

Click on the Security tab, click on the Internet zone, and set the Security level
slider bar for this zone to Medium.

Click on the Local intranet zone, and set the Security level slider bar for this
zone to Medium-low.

Click on the Trusted Sites zone, set the Security level slider bar for this zone to
Low, and then click on the Sites button.

Check the “Require server verification” box and type the IFAS web site name
as shown, then click Add:

Next click on the Privacy tab and set the Settings slider bar to Medium. Check
the Block pop-ups box, and then click Settings.

Type the IFAS web site name as shown, and then click Add:

Click Close.
10.
Click Apply and then OK.
11.
Close all your browser windows so that the new settings take effect.

Accessing IFAS 7i Screens for the First Time
1.
Start Internet Explorer, go to www.shastacoe.org/ifas, and click on the IFAS on
the Web Link:

Click Yes on the security warning:

On the IFAS 7i login page, type your IFAS 7i User name and password and click
Login.

When the IFAS menu is displayed, you can save this web site to your Internet
Explorer favorites. Choose the Favorites option from the Internet Explorer
menu bar, and then click Add, and in the Pop-up Click OK.

The Web site will show up in your Internet Explorer Favorites Menu.
7.
Optionally, you can send this favorite to your desktop as a shortcut by right
clicking the favorite, selecting Send To, and then click on Desktop.
8.
When you run your first CDD report, the Bi-Tech Active-X Print Control plug-in
will be automatically be installed if you have set your Internet Explorer options
correctly by using the Setting Internet Explorer Browser Options for
IFAS 7i procedure
outlined in this
document. If you have
trouble printing CDD
reports, contact the
Help Desk for
additional assistance.
