This order is the Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators (Specified Date) Order 2011.

Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 April 2011.

Specified date
For the purpose of section 126 of the Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators Act 2010, specified date means
1 November 2011.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general
effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 April 2011, provides that, for
the purpose of section 126 of the Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators Act 2010 (the Act), the specified date is 1 November 2011.
The effect of this order is that, commencing on 1 November 2011,—
•
personal guards will be required to hold a licence under the
Act:
•
personal guard employees will be required to hold a certificate
of approval under the Act:
•
crowd controllers will be required to hold a licence under the
Act:
•
crowd controller employees will be required to hold a certificate of approval under the Act.
