Appreciating literature Name Limericks A limerick is a poem that has five lines in it. It is usually funny and has a special order of rhyming words. The first two lines rhyme. Then the next two lines rhyme. Then the last line rhymes with the first two lines. Read the limerick below. There once was a fellow named Jed Who spent too much time in his bed. He slept for so long That something went wrong, His hair grew long on his head. In the limerick above, draw a red circle around the three words that rhyme.
