Archibald Winters asks for the patent and clear title for lots Cornwall,
concession 6, lot 38 and Osnabruck concession 3 lot A, which are
contiguous. He claims that his father (Henry) occupied this lot for at
least 30 years. He has a quit claim from all other claimants who are
named Nancy Winters, Jehial Winters and Joseph Winters of Cornwall.
Since Archibald mentions his widowed mother, that is probably Nancy,
and Joseph and Jehial are his only brothers. In 1831, Henry Winters
petitioned for that land in Cornwall, a clergy reserve. So the
conclusion is that Archibald is a son probably the eldest since 38 in
1851 census of Henry and Nancy Winters. Archibald did obtain patent
for this lot in 1858.
