Presented by Florida Hospital Winter Garden
By Charles M. Schulz | Produced by Garden Theatre
The classic animated television special comes to life in this
faithful stage adaptation. Charlie Brown is overwhelmed by the
materialism he sees during the holiday season and wishes to find
the true meaning of Christmas. After enthusiastically accepting
the role of director for the school Christmas pageant, he soon
becomes frustrated by his uncooperative actors and their
portrayal of the story. After Charlie Brown selects a pitiful tree
for the centerpiece of the play and flees the resulting criticism,
all of the Peanuts gang come to realize what is important…now
that Christmas-time is here.
Please join us before and after this abbreviated play for caroling,
photo opportunities and other surprises at the Garden and
throughout downtown Winter Garden!

Storm Water Pollution…Illegal Activities
Any discharge to a storm water conveyance/collection system (aka Municipal
Separate Storm Sewer Systems or MS4s) that is not composed entirely of
storm water is considered illegal (illicit). These systems include features such
as storm drains, curbs and gutters, swales, inlets, pipes, ditches, and ponds.
Examples of illicit discharges:
• Gas and motor oil
• Kitchen grease/oil
• Household cleansers
•Paints
•Pesticides
• Solvents or vehicle-related spills
• Weed killers
• Grass clippings/yard waste
• Pet waste
When these pollutants find their way into the storm
sewer system, even unintentionally, they cause serious
health and water quality problems, such as destruction
of the natural habitat. To help protect public health
and the quality of our wetlands and lakes, please report sources
of pollution you observe along the roadside or in your neighborhood.
To report an illicit discharge, please call the City of Winter Garden Public
Services Department at 407.656.4111 ext 2012 or login to the Online
Customer Service Center at www.wintergarden-fl.gov. More information about
stormwater and pollution is available at http://www.cwgdn.com/cityhall/
departments/stormwater/.

Green Up Your Holidays
The amount of household garbage in the United States can increase between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day, from 4 million tons to 5
million tons. The holidays are special, but festivities don't have to negatively impact our environment. Here are some measures to lessen our

T urn off or unplug holiday lights during the day to save energy and help your lights last longer.
Bring reusable cloth bags for holiday gift shopping. Avoid using a bag for small or oversized purchases.
Use LED and/or solar-powered string lights to reduce electricity costs.
Foil pans and pie trays are recyclable, but regular aluminum foil sheets are not.
Avoid using disposable dinnerware and silverware.
Donate the older toys that you no longer use to charities.
Donate unwanted decorations.
Buy cards made from recycled paper (look for "post-consumer" content).
Choose cards printed on white stock without metallic or plastic coatings.
Review the list of recyclables that the City accepts.
Buy locally grown trees, wreaths, and garland to save energy associated with transportation.
Go to the City’s website for information about the City’s solid waste & recycling program.
